My online account updated today to show my estimated completion case as December 2019. Fortunately I know from posts here that this isn't accurate, and seems to be just pulled out of the sky by USCIS' automated systems through some arcane ritual likely involving chicken bones and virgin blood.

Yeah, ours was November 2019. I am not telling my ex about this because he will start hyperventilating. As it stands, he's convinced that he may not be granted citizenship even though he's eligible because... well, for any of the mysterious and far-fetched reasons he thought he wouldn't get his CR-1 eleven years ago. I read him direct quotations from VJ from back then expressing his similarly cockamamie beliefs and it maybe (?) dispelled a couple of his fears.

As I understand it, the estimated completion time is set solely by whichever local office you fall under. So for anyone else applying online through Dallas, for example, they would also see 23 months.

I've been scouring the threads here from previous months and found several from Dallas filers where they were done in a few months, including one that was done in under three months.

I'm hoping for something equally as swift since I require US citizenship for employment.

Online account has updated to "We scheduled your biometrics appointment". The document hasn't been uploaded yet, but should appear in 1-2 days from what I've read from other online filers.

I may try an early walk-in at the ASC in Fort Worth once I receive the appointment letter.

Same here -- and no document available yet. We've dealt with the Van Nuys ASC before here and they are super nice, so I think we're going to try for a walk in.
