Awesome, and congratulations. How long did the interview lasted? And what country was the interview in? Thank you. And best of luck to you from here on out.

I posted a review on my timeline. My actual interview lasted about 5 minutes or less. It was in Kuala Lumpur. I know... I was surprised how easy and fast it was!

I am beginning to think that that the attorney was not upfront with me.  I have met about 6 people from Palestine who reside in Tampa.  They all told me 24 months.  My husband heard this in his country and the attorney said no he will be here with me 12 to 15 but closer to 12.  Its 13 months and his I130 not even approved so yes look like we will be waiting another 12 months.  I am so depressed that I feel I cant even breath.

The attorney can't know for sure when you will get thru with this process nobody does that's why its frustrating. My advise is keep the faith and continue to wait like the rest of us sometimes we should count our small blessings. Imagine if there was no opportunity like this to file for him (small blessings) I'm waiting too I use to make it get to me now I just leave it in God's hands. If its ment to be it will be.

Hi everyone, i need you’re help because i have made myself sick over this. My husband had his interview on the 12th of Decmeber. He was give 221g to upload joint sponsor papers, which we did right after the interview. When i check the visa status it say “refused” and the case update hasn’t changed since 12th decemeber. Should i be worried? Anyone had a similar experience or same situation? I’m losing my mind 😭

Hey, was your visa finally approved? I hope it was! I'm also in the process of it for my husband from Pakistan and it'd be great to know how everything turned out for you!

Unfortunately not yet, I submitted joint sponsor papers then got an email to submit additional documents which i did almost a month ago. I’m waiting for their response now. It’ll be two months on Feb 12th since my husband’s interview.

Husband and I just hit our 2nd month from our interview. We got a 221g asking for his CV. They received the hard copy on Dec 4th, and the electronic on Nov 30th. I feel that the shutdown had an effect on our AP. Other people's case numbers around ours have been issued or also in AP (i found a case was was created way after ours and it said it was returned to NVC, it had two case numbers 😕 so sad) Our last update was Jan 24th, husband is thinking of sending an email to them. Unsure if we are stuck at the Washington DC AP part or results came back and they are back logged.  In the past visa(B1, B1/B2, and J1) interviews his AP only lasted about 3 weeks and took a week to get his passport back, so I was assuming it would be about the same lenght of time. They have always kept his passport and this time they kept it.

Husband's coworker that was getting a new B1 visa was in AP for 6 months ugh. Hoping not our case but sooner. He needs to get here and have a job before Aug 1st or I will have to move to him or something. My apartment lease expires in Sept and both my roommate and I are not renewing with each other.

Did they keep your husband's passport?

Did they keep your husband's passport?

I have been reading here that people with travel history and certain education backgroud go through AP that lasts a little longer. Did you receive an email for supplemental information aka form DS5535? They kept my husband’s passport. I checked my status and it said refused from his interview on. 3 weeks later they reviewed my case and said that i was missing AOS documents so I submitted those and now waiting. My last case update was Jan 22nd.

I read the emails and saw the paperwork they gave him. Only CV or resume, its was the same set up as his past CVs he sent in in the past. We didn't get a request for the ds5535, husband has heard of that form before from other coworkers which I'm thankful he didn't have to fill it out.

Well I did not mean that in a bad way, just after speaking to many attorneys a few weeks ago, they said most attorneys are aware that the territory in which my husband lives, their cases area always  take much longer than normal.  It was not just my attorney, each atty I consulted with before I hired this atty told me the same "much shorter wait time.   I agree with you 100%, I always am thankful and thank God for all small and big blessings, but from a human standpoint and missing my husband, it is hard to watch others who filed the same time go through so quickly and see others who filed several months after you....so it raised many questions for me.    However, in the long run..............I am very thankful!     I hope your case goes very fast, God Bless you!  Prayers for us all!
