Thank you. I hope everyone here gets approved soon as well.

My wife's interview was fairly simple. Key take away points from the interview and also what my wife overheard from other interviews while waiting her turn:

- Bring the original signed in ink I-864, my wife was asked for it

-  Even if you have already submitted them, bring copies of the IRS tax transcripts (Transcripts, not returns. Returns may cause you to get scrutinized over income and delayed). I had submitted returns but two days before the interview I caught my mistake and I sent the transcripts to my wife. They asked her for them before the interview.

- Cultural/language differences? The intending immigrant should make every effort to speak English during the interview. (It is okay to ask for clarification in the local language whenever necessary).

- Bring one or two pictures that show the interests and personality of the US citizen. For my wife, that seems to have been the most important topic during the interview. The CO asked for pictures of us together and chat logs, but didn't really looked at them, just glanced at them and returned them. Then he asked her, I'm paraphrasing here, "Show me a picture of your husband in the US". She showed him a peculiar picture of me in the Alaskan far north near the arctic ocean (the picture was taken next to a sign that says the name of the place). The CO took the conversation that way and asked her if I liked cold weather and so on, perhaps to test her confidence in her knowledge of me and to see if we had a real relationship. That was the focus of the interview.

Our documents were marked as accepted by NVC on September 12th and we received the email with the appointment information on Sept 26th. NVC seems to be consistent in its timeframes for everyone but the actual appointment date depends on each embassy or consulate. Also check their calendar on the specific's embassy consulate website. They take both the American holidays and local holidays. That means delays. Hopefully this will give you a general idea of when you will get your appointment.

Hi everyone,

I have a question. On October 22 I submitted AOS and supporting documents. On November 3 my CEAC status changed to AT NVC and AOS disappeared. Both DS261 and IV shows completed. What does this mean?

Hello again my fellow filers!     So I received my response on my case inquiry for after processing times.   Just states your case is still in process, pending adjudication.  However, additional Reviews needed to be performed.  Thank you for your patience!

That's it Folks!

I guess I understand it is because of where he is from, there is extra security checks.   However, I read that they includes them asking him to go for finger printing, which he has not been contacted.

Guess it might take him 2 years like I was told from others.
