Hi guys,

How long does NVC usually takes to accept the Choice of Agent Form (DS-261)? For those who’s form already been accepted how long did it take? And was you notified by email?

Thank you you very much for your responses in advance!

I don’t think u have to wait anything from them, well in my case I did everything in one hour, you put invoice and case # the choose petitioner ,applicant , don’t remember what else, then pay, fill out ds form submit the rest of documents and wait till they accept or reject ur papers and then if everything goes well you’ll have your CC and just wait for interview..!!

Guys I have a question, the only joint sponsor I have is married and has filed the past three years jointly with her husband. When asked in part 6 of I-864 #24 a, b, and c for the adjusted gross income, should the total reported gross income (including the husband's) be included? There is no way to break down the numbers, seeing as how they filled jointly. If so, does the husband of the joint sponsor need to fill out form I-864A?

Finally! I have been given an interview date! 28th November.  I got the email 18th October.

For those wondering the timescale,

We got the notification of the creation of our visa immigrant case from NVC on 30th August,

We paid both fees on 4th Sept

My petitioner submitted her financial info 17th Sept

I submitted my DS-260 18th Sept

And finally my civil documents on 21st Sept.

All documents were accepted by NVC 27th Sept to which they said they were now working with the London embassy to schedule an appointment.

When checking the site, it still said my case is currently at NVC, but be patient, it was only about 3 days before I got the email that it said, my case is currently at London. I guess that is when they are actively creating an appointment for you. It was exactly 3 weeks to the day from them accepting all of my documents to when I received an interview date.

Fingers crossed all goes well and I should be out there for Christmas, although I was hoping to be out there for Thanksgiving. Either way, I am beyond happy.

STILL HERE! UGH   01/12/2018 filer.   So I guess the processing time of 9.5 months for the Nebraska center is here and still NOTHING but each 2 weeks my email that status no updates.  Everyone else is in United States now I guess.    I don't know whether to be angry, sad, or happy that I have survived waiting all this time miserably.

The fact that you weren't denied shows that you will be approved, dont let you're heart be troubled.

Thank you, I have prayed so hard and hope this will be the case.   I used an attorney and had all documents requested and many letters of support/testimony of our love.    We miss each other so much.  I was unable to fly back due to having 2 auto accidents back to back and was injured so lost all my time off from work.

Thank you for your support!

Have you called them as yet, if no give them until the first week in November. I heard sometimes the delay can be where your spouse is from.

Well I asked my Attorney to do a check because I saw that the time was near were it was permittable .  He did not want to do it, then out of the blue he sent me a response from them that we were in normal processing time because HE CHECKED a week tooooooooo soon.   I feel like I bother him when I ask question as his response are short and incomplete.

I will put in a change of address today, and do my own request.

Yes, I heard because he is a MUSLIM from Middle East it takes longer.  I respect their security checks but does seem unfair, as I do not know what more they can check on him.  He has no criminal background.  A villager with a wonderful family.    I guess it is what it is, but it hurts being without each other and were married.

The good always suffer for the bad due to where he lives is most likely the problem, I was listening to a podcast on immigration and they said people who reside on that side of the world has to go thru a lot because immigration are doing back ground checks on people there and they wanna make sure they dot every I and cross every T. You're lawyer is annoying no offence you are paying him even if you call him 600 times a day that your problem because you paid him to help because obviously you needed assistance so he needs to start dealing with your professionally and not no one worded reply. Yeah it's very hard not being next to you're spouse but it will be all worth it in the end.
