According to https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

You are still within processing time with Nebraska. But if I were you I would be calling everyday. Did you get a RFE? And call recently? Btw I don't know when the time tables were updated last.

Guys is the Department OF State the same as the National Visa Center? Or is it two different thing?  On the website it shows my case was sent to the Department of State not NVC so I’m confused about that.

Thank you for your response!

Yes, if it shows sent to Department of State it has gone to NVC. I may be wrong, but it appears to me that USCIS is overseen by Homeland Security and NVC is overseen by the Dept of State.

Ok, thank you but I need to know for sure lol.

The people who already have their case sent over after approval will know for sure.

Oh! I'm sorry. I was unclear. I have had my case sent to NVC and have recently received CC. Definitely your NVC correspondence says Department of State. I was just unsure about the "oversees" part of my post. I should have left it out.

Thank you for sharing your screenshot laowainelson. May we please ask how long it took for the status to change from "Submitted" to "Accepted" for both the AOS and IV online submissions? Also, have you received your interview date yet?

My wife and I have submitted all our documents through the CEAC online portal and are curious as to how long it'll take get approved and to also receive the embassy interview date. Thanks again!

Hi,

I submitted our documents on August 31st and got an approval message on September 11th. The actual email did not come through until the morning of September 12th. It seems to be that it takes about 10 days for NVC to process your documents. For us there was one holiday in between August 31st and September 11 (Labor day).

We received our email with our appointment last week, September 26th. Our interview will be on November 1st, a little unfortunate that there are two holidays this month for our consulate. (Chinese National Holiday, 3 business days and Columbus day, 1 business day).

We hope to be together by Thanksgiving and I hope your interview gets scheduled soon!

Grats on the interview letter! I'm hoping my husband's interview will be around thanksgiving, hopefully before. We want to know our results, but he wont physcally move here till he has a job offer and a few other things are taken care of, assuming he gets approved. If we get denied, I'll be moving there within the year.

Thanks for the very helpful information! I wish this entire process would move faster for all of us.

Is there a reason why the holidays impact the interview date?
