My case is still not online, and I was sent to Texas. I read others had the same problem. When I look for other i-130s near my number, I see a good handful of them, I'm starting to wonder if someone missed typed. Or forgot to select or click an option to say it's online etc. It's been like 54 days since they accepted my petition. I thought about calling them to see if my number shows up in their system at this point.

Is anyone still having trouble getting their case number recognized on the website? Mine is still saying "Case Number not Recognized", and I know that I should wait 45 days--unsure if business days or not--but it seems so odd that it's not recognizing...I mean they generated a case number!

Yes,  our case was accepted on 1/31, NOA was received early February and still, nothing in the system.  I called and was told that it would take at least 45 days to show up in the system, they are never consistent.

1/31/18 I-130 NOA 1 received Nebraska Service Center

In mid March I'm going to start calling the USCIS frequently... It's unreasonable that my case number won't even appear online! Sorry it's happening to you too :/

I was also told 45 days as well, but still once 45 business days have passed, I'm going to make myself a pest haha. As the petitioner and USC, I have every right. Especially if many other people are having the same problem, it's ridiculous that we're not getting consistent answers.

Hi guys.

My wife is a US Citizen living in the states and I am a British Citizen living in the UK. We applied for the i-130 on 2nd January and it was received as such, now we are just awaiting the approval. But I was doing some reading online and it seems to imply that if you are married to your spouse, that you can travel to the US on the Visa Waiver Programme, which my country is eligible for and simply adjust your status seeing that I am a spouse of a US citizen. Is that simply the case and I have wasted time applying for the i-130?

My husband and I found this out as well. As we are married and thousands of miles apart (like most people in this community), there is a way to just "adjust status" or something like that. I had a whole post on it a few months back. I was totally dumbfounded when I found that out. I always believed it to be visa fraud to do such a thing, but I found out otherwise. As long as you can manage to prove you came to the USA without the intent of coming to adjust your status, then it could potentially work. However, don't exactly quote me on this wording, I know there are some more complexities to it than just that. Check out my previous post, because some of the responders expain it in pretty good detail. Hope this helps :)

Is this the receipt number? The one that you input to USCIS.gov to check your status? Just clarifying, this process can be so confusing

This is my first post and I am so happy to be apart of the Visa Journey Community.  My wife and I are so desperate to be together and the wait is excruciating but we are happy that we found each other and we will be together every single day for the rest of our lives very, very soon.  Being here with you guys makes it entirely more bearable so thank you so much for this community.

I know I am so late with this but my wife and I are I-130 January 2018 Filers too.

Nebraska center also...and we have the same problem.  You should call again, I called USCIS a few days ago and got to speak with a tier 2 officer it seems like they have a problem in the website with the nebraska cases he also told me they are reviewing cases from may 2017 so we January people still got a long wait :(

My case number still doesnt work as of this morning. Yes it's fusterating, but there are people from August that still don't have their number showing up til someone touched their case. This is not just Nebraska, its happening to Texas as well, so I'm assuming it just their whole system.

@Lettsthe person you talk to is going by egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do what I have seen so far Nebraska is working on cases as early as August and as late as May, I'm going off of the other topics in this subform.

Even thought my husband is here on a business trip, he keeps asking when this whole processs will be over and keeps thinking we will be denied since we haven't heard from them, besides the noa1. I even made a spreadsheet for us to give us an idea when things will happen, based off of reportrd time here and other people going to the same embassy, I don't have the NVC adjusted right, total of 6 months from noa2 to interview, hopefully. If all goes well we are hoping to get visa in hands around Valentine's day 2019, est interview could be as early as Jan 9th 2019 with current times, and his administration processing about a month (going off his past AP for b1s and j1) I expect it to be later than this because I don't see things getting better between Russia and the USA. Just to get a visitor's visa from Moscow takes 250 days, as of March 11th, and the K1s are reporting it taking about 3 months after they got their noa2 to finally get an interview. And the sad part is, after all of this money and time used, we might not call the USA home in a few years pending if he gets denied or a job offer. He doesn't want to give up his good job in Russia till he has a job offer over here. (By the way we are currently working on getting him a job offer) so I'm currently researching about him entering and leaving when he gets the green card etc and possible filing a waiver of some sort.

I remember a year or so ago, it took someone a total of 9 months from filing to visa in hands at the Russia embassy, oh how I wish it was still true right now.

I've been seeing so many end of September cases getting there approvals this week so try not to worry to much about timeframes etc.

Someone had posted a case number (From the TSC) with the last 4 digits as an X, and I went exploring a bit. Looks about 25% or so have been approved from September cases that I had seen, I haven't had the time to go looking at August's case numbers. But we all are getting closer! Sadly one day at a time.
