Hello, new visa journey member here! USC Filed i-130 for my mother who's in the Philippines. 

 

Mailed to USCIS: Jan 25

Received by Texas center: Jan 29

Priority Date: Jan 29

NOA1: Feb 1

Approved: July 9

Sent to NVC: July 13

 

Been a week since our last notice, should I call NVC to ask if they received my case?

Called NVC just now and they said that they received my case July 20. Hopefully I get my case number faster than said 8 weeks of wait time.

First you wait till you are assigned a case and invoice number. 

Then you give both petitioner and beneficiary's email addresses to an operator at NVC so that you will both get all correspondence from them. 

You choose an agent.

Pay AOS and IV fees.

Fill out your AOS and IV packets and send in all supporting documents.

If all is ok with your paperwork, you wait till your case is complete and you get an interview date.

Mine was received on July 18th.  We are all hoping for less than 8 weeks   Good luck.

Well, according to my timeline here, my application is now 2 days past the due date. Just checked and it only says case was received. Should I check to ask?

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ You have about a month of waiting still if you are a LPR or 2 months if you are a USC before you should call them, you are currently within their processing time.

My Case Updated on USCIS Web yesterday 29-Jul-18 after ten days of Hard copy received by post.

Just wait for few days you will get an updated mine showed 19-Jul-18 i received my NOA2 on same date but web updated after ten days.

Well it finally happened, got a notification on both apps for tracking cases last night that my number is FINALLY showing up in the old website. Only took like 206ish days for it to show up....

 

Old website says my petition was sent on July 17th, new site says July 18th, email was sent on July 18th (6:25 am Est)

NOA2: June 28th 2018, new website. Old website: July 17th sent to DOS (finally appeared July 29th, after 206 days after petition sent and stating not found) Emails & texts: nothing. Hard Copy states NoA2 is June 27, 2018.

NOA2: Hard copy: July 2nd 2018

So about less than a week after approval.

So now that our I-130 has been accepted... I believe my wife will need an NBI Clearance from the Philippines? And a Police clearance from Thailand where she currently resides? 

Should we be working on that right now, or wait until we hear back from NVC?

Personally I would look into how long it takes to get said items, if it takes a month or less I would wait till a few weeks or more after the NVC receives your petition. My husband already ordered his police certificate from Russia last month and got it last week..... Btw he was too antzy and ordered the damn thing to early I told him to wait till mid of August or so to get them. He does need to order the Ukrainian police certificate soon.... He should be getting his divorce certificate from his ex and his daughter's birth certificate really soon (last time I knew of he had to have all his children's birth certificates with him at interview, even if it's just him moving here.)

When u get approved how many days it takes for nvc to receive your case?
