The Rant of Our Discontent

On Friday eve, Mrs. T-B. has a yak-fest with some amigas, yak yak yak yak YAK she & they man.

Upon return from the POTS office, we shall pick up Mini-B. at the neighbor's casa, we pick up wee man.

We shall then take Mini-B. to Costco to avail ourselves of the annual rebate certificate, free stuff man.

We truly hope that Mini-B. isn't hungry during the above, or we'll never get any peace, manipulative wee man.

We would take him on Saturday but for expected mobs doing the same thing, don't follow the crowd man.

 

This might all be academic anyway, given that Mrs. T-B. hasn't given us her shopping-list yet, ADD she man.

However, she did promptly out-clean the freezer & refrigerator upon our request, mirabile visu et dictu* man.

I as some others on here know that I recently moved back to NC with my family after living the last 5 years in CA. My wife since she has been to the USA has lived only in CA with short trips to NC to visit my family.

 

So since we live now in NC on the verge of a large metro area we are out in the country, and I love it because it's almost exactly how I grew up. So we went out to eat last night at a BBQ place I wanted to try since we moved to this area. It is a down home buffet style Southern cooking eatery that was actually quite good because they had Chopped BBQ, Fried Chicken/Shrimp/Fish, and Ribs. This is not to mention the side dishes like yams, potatoes, fried okra. It was a very busy place to say the least but overall people from all walks of life went here and the food was damn good. What was cool was they had some old farm equipment on display right when you walked through the door and it looks like a old barn when you first walk in.

 

So now to when I got alittle pissed at my wife. When we were leaving and getting in the car I asked my wife if she liked the place and what she thought of it. She said the food is ok but she thought the front of the restaurant looked "haunted" and the place looked "unclean". So this kinda irritated me because this is the second place she said that about when the last one was a old school country diner. I just think she ain't used to no actual Southern restaurant but she likes them fancy places like Cracker Barrel or Chilis. So I am just going to take her to more and more Southern places until she gets used to them.

Some of the country restaurants do look stuffed with 'stuff' and were definitely a culture shock but I've generally found the food, service and atmosphere is way better than the chains

Mrs. T-B. had an early appointment this morn, empresaria she man.

We therefore had to roust Mini-B. from bed, feed/dress him, and prep him for skool, we prep wee man.

 

Mini-B. did NOT want to get up, cheap off the old block man.

We were so proud, we of wee man.

However, he perked up later, shockingly well before noon man.

Oh, well... he's young and will learn, teach your children well man.

I totally agree as well. She will just have to get used to it because I love the little Mom and Pop shops.

I think the same thing when we go eat BBQ, but I like the food and the ppl there. Ok I like some of the food mostly meats I hate hate hate Cracker Barrel, Friday's, and Chilis.

Ok Chicken Report I'm getting almost 19 eggs a day. I say almost because some don't lay every day. 

One or it could be two girls gave us some huge eggs. The american large egg weighs 2.0 oz. All my large egg layers lay about 2.5 to 3.0 oz I got to show you the crazy size difference. All I know is that had to hurt poor girl. 

 

The white egg is 1.0 oz My old English Game Hen gives us those tiny eggs. The large brown is the 3.0 oz egg. That comes from my black sex link. 

 

Here is the 3.0, and your standard 2.0 and the tiny egg is 1.0
