Not chance of her behaving like a normal person - redneck had friends over for his birthday, she greeted them walking round in her nightgown telling them how good she looks for 83 & how she was going for a shower to get ready to see her boyfriend...I ended up actually picking her up and putting her in the bathroom and daring her to come out before she was dressed decently!

Oh dear.  I had an elderly female patient that used to do stuff like that. But..she had Cupid's Disease. Probably not you  MIL's issue, one would hope!

Every Sunday night, the asylum permitted the patients to dress in their best and attend a formal dinner with the staff.  At one of these affairs, one of the nurses passed the potatoes to an elderly, dignified-looking lady, who began taking them from the bowl and piling them on her head.

 

"My dear," chided the nurse gently, "Why are you putting the potatoes on your head?"

 

"Goodness -- I must be crazy!" cried the lady, embarrassed.  "I thought it was the spinach!"

Mini-B.'s birthday party #1 went very well, according to an upbeat, frazzled Mrs. T-B., report she man.

Many (2x2x2) of the Many (2x2x2+2) mini-invitees attended, the mini-others having been sick, quorum present man.

Weather cooperated, mostly sunny and Many (2x2x2x2x2x2-[2x2x2]) degrees F. man.

Only two other mommies were available to help, zone defense man.

Mama T-B. came over briefly to kiss Mini-B. and view the chaos, senior she see man.

The huge bounce-casa that Mrs. T-B. rented was a big hit, bounce jump frolic cavort wee men man.

The supermarket pizzas that Mrs. T-B. burnt baked were apparently all eaten, ingest wee men.

Mini-B. got many (precisely, Many) gifts, most involving Legos, chief interest of wee man.

Traumatized cat spent most of time hiding upstairs, ready-for-psychiatrist miu man.

Mrs. T-B. somehow didn't burn the casa down, hot stuff she man.

 

Casa not too up-torn when we returned from the POTS office, another record-breaking week of sales man.

Mini-B. gleefully building stuff with Legos, motivated wee man.

Mrs. T-B. looking happy but dazed, probably overwhelmed she man.

Many-gallon (2x2x2x2x2+[2x2x2]+2-gallon) trash bag that we had installed this morn was filled to the brim, party detritus man.

We apparently missed something, mirabile visu man.

However, POTS sales are our livelihood, support the party-animals man.

A golden opportunity to practice our Spanish and improve international relations happened at the POTS office, seize all such man.

Our assistant poked her head into our door, fortunately awake we man.

"Can you tell the maid that it's OK to collect trash when we're here?  My Spanish isn't good enough, no man."

 

We engaged maid with winning smile, no other type possible man.

Quoth we, "Señora, nuestra basura es tu basura, siempre, todo el tiempo, si hombre."

[Ma'am, our garbage is your  garbage, always, all the time, si man.]

Quoth we further, "Mi basura es excelente -- muy mejor -- y todo para ti, si hombre!"

[Our garbage is excellent -- really great -- and all for you, si man!]

Maid smiled and took our trash with great pleasure, relaxed she man.

 

Maid asked something that we gathered meant "do you speak Spanish," inkling of we man.

Quoth we, "Mi basura es excelente; mi Español es cochino, si hombre."

[Our garbage is excellent; our Spanish is disgusting, si man.]

Maid laughed, mirthful she man.

 

Maid noted Mrs. T-B.'s posted foto with the caption "Cariño" [sweetheart], observe she man.

Maid asked something that we gathered meant "is Mrs. T-B. Spanish," inkling of we man.

Quoth we, "Mi esposa es no una Mexicana; elle es una Ecuatoriana, si hombre."

[Our wife isn't Mexican; she is Ecuadorian, si man.]

Maid smiled and left with our garbage, bye she man.

 

We shall most certainly sell her and her extended family Many pre-owned toilet seats in the near future, seen it happen before man.

This proves yet again that customers can be found anywhere, glee man.

 

We reported the above dialogue to the drink-juicing Mrs. T-B., who spat out her juice while laughing uncontrollably, we didn't inquire why man.

 

We are proud of our bilingual literacy, si man -- the second time in a row that no one has looked frightened and motioned us toward the nearest bathroom, no man.

 

We will conquer Polish next, oj tak.

I've started learnign Spanish lately. Quite funny!
