At least when you enter, you can sort of just begin your new life right away and not have to live in limbo in a foreign country.  That can be stressful in and of itself.  We lived together the whole time, but I still found the whole thing very stressful and annoying.

 

 

It's particularly bad when you face it apart, especially when you're just starting your marriage.

But you're absolutely right, we can make up for lost time and behave like annoying newlyweds even if technically we will have been married for almost two years.

Got very decent albeit too-short* nap-with-cat this eve, much-needed* man.

Haven't taken temperature recently, but still feel slightly feverish, gone on long enough now man.

Can't get up to retrieve thermometer because of corpulent feline dozing on lap, groggy miu man.

Throat is a little sore, but we attribute that to sinus-drainage, hopefully 'snot anything else man.

We have a different Mexican antibiotic to try, out of amoxicillin now sigh man.

Might think about calling doc if this lasts more than another couple of days, good grief man.

We awoke feeling partially better but similarly lousy, if that makes sense man.

If this is a cold, 'tis the weirdest that we can remember, atypical man.

 

We then drug* ourself into the POTS office and spend an hour on company-man stuff, good grief man.

We did not evolve to the Upper Ape stage merely to eat vegetables, no D2 ma'am.

We would have to wait until our second anniversary to be together (January 2019) but I'm hoping to finish the process in July, at most.  That's 5-6 more months that might not seem like much, but I don't mind going through ROC just to be together at this point, miss him terribly!

 

vegetables can go with meat, you know. they pair well, like brussel sprouts and bacon.

So far, we haven't found ROC to be too terribly burdensome. I would make the same trade, doing ROC in return for 5 months with my spouse.
