I don't like not having a shelter. The way this house is build there really isn't a safe room either.

That's the thing of it for me. I'm the one with the plan always, and I take a belt and suspenders approach to most things. So when the weather guy started on about a deadly situation, if you are in this area, take shelter now, I wasn't very happy to really have nowhere to go. The Husband was in a house that was hit by a tornado once, and a tree came right through the roof of the room he was sleeping in. So, he's leery as it is, and last night he was like Hine, what do we do? I didn't like that I couldn't tell him anything other than we just had to wait it out.

 

I always have a bugout bag ready, and I put the harness and lead on the dog, and other than that we just went into the smallest interior room and hoped for the best. Terrific thunder and lightening all around here last night. I do not want to be in that position again. We may never use it, but if we need it, we are sorted.

Well, we had slight fever upon our return casa-ward this eve, and it's probably higher now, hot stuff we man.

 

All day long, we emphasized to Mrs. T-B. the importance of an early, lengthy, effective nap, ADD she man.

After curbsiding the garbage, we re-emphasized to Mrs. T-B. the aforementioned importance, ADD she man.

We lay down for our nap, attempted zzz we man.

Mrs. T-B. takes jovial shower with bathroom doors OPEN, split-earing racket man.

Mini-B. (in contiguous room) loudly comments on video-game success, victorious wee man.

Mrs. T-B. then puts Mini-B. to bed, supposedly man.

Loud read-booking, commentary, joking, and singing emit from both, racket-earing man.

Meanwhile, we are lying in bed with one hand over top ear and pillow crushed into bottom ear, silence desired we man.

Not a prayer of any repose, zero zzz man.

We finally give up and dish the warsher, better have a good heavily medicated night or we're doomed man.

No husband.  

His friend got an email forwarded from the district director saying people would be returning. So instead of flying home and back he decided to stay with a lot of convincing from friend. 

Friend of course doesnt want to go home.  Hubs, however, is actually annoyed and did since he misses his family.  Miss him too.  

I should go work out this morning.

It's ok thanks man for caring. Unfortunately my 4 year old daughter looks like she may have early stages of the flu or just a stomach bug right now. She threw up like 4 times last night and 1 time this morning. So hopefully it is only a stomach bug and not the flu.

I remember it took about 8 weeks from when USCIS approved our case to when we could file the ds-261. Then it took 2 more weeks before we received the IV bill, which i presume meant the ds-261 was reviewed but I'm not sure. I remember some people were submitting the AOS package immediately upon filing the ds-261. We took things serially and actually had a 2 week delay in sending the package after we paid the IV bill. Once the AOS package was sent off, there was another 1 month wait until we received the "case closed" message from NVC. Then, of course, another 2 month wait for an interview to be scheduled at the embassy.

 

The waiting sucked, but I think you already know that. Wishing you the best!
