The flu?

I don't get the logic of it.  The Dane and I got our licenses at around the same time, but I have to renew before 4 years because my birthday is in January and he gets to renew after 4 years because his is in the fall.  This will be my third license photo in a row that I'm pregnant in and look like I ate a cookie factory.

Not the flu thank goodness, but sure felt like it might have been.

That's messed up.

I'd imagine people in that line of work getting bitten a lot, no?

-----

It is finally supposed to warm up here this weekend, 60 degrees warmer than it was a week ago!  Heat wave here we come (it'll still be below freezing).

No actually there are methods to restrain a cat or dog to keep it from biting or clawing.  However the doctors sometimes feel these methods frighten them more (like scruffing or using a towel or gloves.  Most dont hesitate to muzzle a dog though.)  Since the goal is to have a calm relaxed and happy animal, the least pain and fear we can impart is best.   It is an OSHA and workmens compensation issue if i am bitten it scratched bad enough for medical attention.  Obviously its bad for the business.  People have worked for years without being bitten, i was just unlucky.  Had I been allowed to follow my instincts it wouldnt have happened but I am not always allowed that luxury.  I had a feeling this cat was going to get nasty after the first growl with the twitchy tail and glare.  Dr said dont scruff, and so I didnt.  Thankfully Im quick, just not quick enough.

Cat went home with the owner so Im not sure what will happen.  It is labelled as a caution now though at our clinic.  At least people are aware before they even enter the room.

Advice on manicuring cats now, advise Niki-B. ma'am.

Old cat would merely get deer-in-headlights look and squirm a little, easy job man.

Current cat squirms, bites, and swats, almost more than two-person job man.

GS/ES streak will be kept alive this weekend, take what we can get man.

GS tomorrow (Friday only!), don't they realize the meaning of workweek man.

ES rather nearby on Sat., but run by a co. that we despise, here's why man.

Guy tends to pile junk at random in plastic bins, more rummage-sale than ES man.

Furthermore, we drove far out of our way to attend his last one, driven we man.

We spent nearly an hour very carefully combing casa, selecting a few items man.

We went to pay but were accosted by old-lady casa-ownerette, allowed on the premises, recipe for trouble man.

"None of that is for sale!" snapped she, quite literally snatching everything from our arms man.

ES guy was chatting up another customer at length when we went to inform him, impossible man.

We left in anger and complete disgust, never give him 2x2x2+2 cents again man.

The Many (2+1) cardinal rules of ESs are as follows, heed man:

1.  The infernal casa-owner is not to be on the premises, because it can only hose the sales process, NO man!

2.  Off-limits drawers and rooms are to be taped or have signage saying "No Entry" or similar, duh and :bonk: man!

Many.  Items not for sale are all to be ensconced in those off-limits drawers and rooms, duh and :bonk: man!

How and why ES-operators fail to fathom the above completely escapes us, what planet do they live on or come from man.

If ES guy fails to conform cardinally this time, we shall impart some religion, meet Cardinal T-B. man.

End of expressed rant but not of ongoing associated seething, grrrrRRRRRRRRRRRR man.

Got the Subaru back - seems the rough idle is gone and it starts remotely at -20 when before I couldn't even get it to do it at barely below freezing.

The Dane said when they took apart the car, the smell of exhaust and gas was so bad that you could smell it through the whole dealership.  Yikes.
