The Dane tried to go out twice this morning and turned around.  I suspect that just like him, people felt like they needed to get to work or get home to their kids.  There were a few posts from parents really frustrated that they couldn't pick up their children after an overnight shift.

I'll still have to walk the dog though, fence man is busy at the moment, and can't get here for at least two more weeks. I didn't think winter would be a particularly busy time for fencing, but it seems it is.

I'm surprised how busy they are in the winter. I guess it's because how hot summers are.

Mini-B.'s skool system, and most or all others, have canceled for tomorrow, freak out man.

All county offices are closed and jury duty is called off, official proclamations man.

The terrified natives have cleared all the store shelves of bread, milk, and beer, shake our heads man.

In short, everyone is going aysheep, as Mrs. T-B. would say man.

 

As for Mrs. T-B., she walks by us as we attentively hear the TV weatherman exhaustively report the freeze-lines, expected accumulations as of what hour, etc., and asks us, "Is it going to rain?" sheesh man.

 

In Ecu, the weather report consists of sticking one's arm out one's casa door, test-phase man.

If it gets wet, it's raining; if it doesn't, it's not raining, si and no man.

No need to go plumb aysheep like the gringos do, no man.

We had freezing rain before it snowed yesterday.  So after the gym Im sliding downhill away from the truck while trying to scrape a hole big enough so I can see. And the dog biffed it coming out of the house.  Both of which were humorous and omg moments.

Anyone in favor of a book club let me know, I'm totally down for that.

thinking of reading an immigration-related book after the 3 I'm reading, like behold the dreamers or something like that. seems appropriate.

I just finished future sex, a writer discovering the alternative routes of sex (poly, open, etc) and women's roles in society and pleasure. Very well written. 

 

First gym day: Can I just be skinny and toned already? sigh.  My goal is to lose 30-40 pounds, ultimately just to feel better honestly. 

My allergies are down after I stopped having processed foods and flour/bread etc, I also eat very little dairy now. 

 

I keep fighting with my mom (or at least having disagreements) we are SO radically different and I just realized how her laziness and lack of structure

has influenced my life so much. But I'm an adult and responsible for my own lifestyle choices, even though I've been overweight my whole life, so has she, and my dad.

I can't keep blaming them for it, and I'm trying to help them eat properly and exercise instead. The inversion of power isn't sitting well with her, she has such a strong and stubborn personality. 

My grandma is worse, but at least a bit more open and I can discuss things better with her. She understands that I'm pushing them to help them become better.
