I'm sorry.  Is that hospitalization fees too?  You realize how much human insurance covers when you have a sick pet.  Keep him comfortable but prepare yourself.

Cat has heart murmur.   This is new.  Also probably has feline herpes which explains his reddish eye discharge and nose running.  Glad to know why anyhow.  Hard part is the risk of a dental without an echocardiogram.  But on the plus side the vet said we do a great job weight and health wise with our cats.  Neither are really overweight, (one could lose a little, like .5 to 1lb, if we're picky) nor the dog.

I see that several bands I like are having a concert nearby next month, but if I went it would have to be alone.  There are still lots of tickets available, but going to a concert alone is so meh.  Have any of you ever gone alone?
