Oscar dog is poorly, I thought it was something MIL had fed him but the vet says he's really poorly and may not be fixable this time

He has an obstruction in his belly and as he can't have swallowed anything large enough to cause a blockage because of his oral tumors it's likely his tumors have spread.

He quoted over $1000 for an ultrasound and iv fluids 🤥🤑

It's a lot of money but I'm not ready to lose him yet :(

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

I understand that.  I'm sorry he is so ill, and I hope there is something they can do for him, once they know what is going on. Sending you *hugs*

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Snowing.

According to our forecast, it is supposed to snow another 4 times between now and April 20th.  A couple of days ago they showed it heating up to 50.  That was, apparently, all lies.  I guess it will be a while yet, still, before I'm able to start my veggies indoors.

That's a pretty awful forecast, 4 more times?!  I don't know if I could deal with that sort of winter again.

The weather geeks here are all in a flurry of excitement. Hardly ever happens, at least in April.  They are actually gleeful. Me, not so much, it was 82 last week.

I really want to get busy out there and get a garden in. However, we have new windows, doors, and siding going on over the next month, and anything I get put in may end up trampled. Not looking forward to living in a construction zone.

I am going to go ahead and plant out the storm shelter berm. I've been building a little Hobbiton to put on it.

We haven't had a year like this yet since we moved here, but the April the year I bought the house was like this.  I think they got a snowstorm that dumped a foot or more late into the month.

When I lived in northern New Hampshire, I remember it snowing in May, while we were backpacking/camping under tarps (we didn't get tents).
