A $370 maximum for all utilities in MN is pretty good. All that attic insulation pays for itself. And yes, there are only 2 of us in our "humble" abode. We're definitely not complaining because in this tourist town, apartments are hard to find and have high rent. We're way ahead by owning a home.

I sometimes wonder if we are saving anything by owning.  I feel like there are a lot of maintenance costs in a house.

 

We've also got the somewhat common 'round here double siding.  On top of the old siding is another layer of modern insulation and siding.  

 

Our next door neighbors don't have the attic insulation or the double siding and new windows and their utilities bills are twice ours in the winter.

I was going to say.... last one we used 1043.  1043 what?  I have no idea because they don't put units on the bill.  Our dryer has been working over time against the snow piled up outside...it vents up and out of the ground and the cap broke off.

Hola! Another quick hello! Still busy but more relaxed. I am leaving this job because our life is about to change. We are moving away from the area and I couldn't be happier!

 

Don't know exactly when I will stop working because it depends on a few factors, but it should be within the month.

 

Super excited! I'll get to be a full time mom for Mini C and we ARE GOING TO GET A DOG!!!

Hahah one the new family member joins us, I shall share some pictures. Our commute has kept us from having a dog...I know some people leave them in crates for hours but I just don't like that. Can't hardly wait!
