Yeah Hillbillies eat a lotta meat....Cooked or otherwise....

We probably spend around 1500 on groceries

The house is always well stocked tho.

We spend a lot less then that. I know how to shop and only a few certain items need to be brand names.

Luckily Arkansas food is cheap compared to the Sault.

Yeah Hillbillies like to get their money's worth by going to all you can eat places.

Oh forsure!

I cannot believe how many of these places they have and how cheap they are.

I don't even spend that much on groceries for 8. Not even at Christmas time with all the extra baking I do and I was feeding Sasquatches.

Yeah, that is basically our bare minimum without too much brand name stuff, shopping mostly at the cheapest option (our local store is 2-3x the price), and without eating just pasta for dinner.

It is actually a challenge to keep it there.  ;)

Eating is expensive everywhere. I really don't know why ppl eat out so much. Especially when someone complains of being broke all the time.

I know people like this too!

Kinda related... Hubs was arguing with his buddy... saying dude all you ever say is you're getting food, as in going to get and not from the stove.  He was trying to understand where his friend is saying things like "this protein is better" when he doesnt have a clue what he's really eating.  His wife doesnt really cook except from frozen or a box.  I mean they make enough combined to eat out all the time if they want to, that's not the point hubs was trying to make either.  (He makes about what hubs does, plus his 90% disability on the VA, and she is at like $20 an hour or so.) They dont weigh anything they eat.  Their families are in general overweight if not just plain obese (rather like hubs family.)  Obviously some of these bad eating habits are passed down but regardless, one protein powder vs another wont matter when you havent a clue how many calories you have consumed and how much of that was protein!

In other news I spent $104 on groceries for the week.  Well $80 since $21 was cat litter.  Some will last me until next week and some I had at home already too for my meal plan.  I have 200 calories I need to add and I can't figure out what to add!

House is cleaned minus one frying pan that is soaking.  The last load of laundry is in too. Be interesting to see how long it lasts since the animals and I are the only ones making a mess.
