Many.  We didn't consider ourself how easier, no ma'am.

Many.  Well, why wouldn't it be easy, huh ma'am?  1+1=2, 1+2=Many, 2+2=Many, Many+Many=Many...

I wrote maybe 10 pages total over the whole semester on things I already knew about.   Easy peasy lemon squeezey. Got an 100.   Geography is kind of a passion of mine anyway.

The Husband, in an attempt to help me in the yard a few days ago, bent over to pick up a bit of that tree that fell over. He promptly fell over and has been thinking all week he pulled a muscle in his back.

He had a bad night, so we all had a bad night as a result, so I dragged him off to the Doc today. He has a closed compression fracture of L5, with sacral nerve root compression. There is nothing to be done for it, other than rest, and he cannot really have much by pain relief anyway. So, he's to behave. Uh huh.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Oh no :(

Will he behave or are you going to have to nail him to the floor...

He will have to behave. He can't do much else for the moment.  Once the pain is less he might try and play up. The Doc said 8-12 weeks before it heals. When he gets to the enjoying ill health stage, I'll tie him down.

He regrets it for sure. I had just finished telling him not to be an egg, to go sit down and boom. I don't know that he will ever totally behave, I think that's unlikely :)

I think he surprised a few people in that little ER. He's a bit medically complicated. The Doc said he was surprised he couldn't talk him into some pain relief. It isn't that he wouldn't like to have it, its more that we would have to get the ok from Nashville, and on a Friday night, yah. I would have to call the after hours transplant team, and he doesn't want me to do that. If he still feels terrible by then we will have a go Monday.

What kind of transplant if you don't mind saying? My late husband was about to go on the list for a liver when he died, the list of do's and don't seemed endless and that was before he even got on the list.

I hope he can get some kind of relief from the pain, redneck was in agony before he had his C4/C5 was fixed :(

It seems we have more in common than crazy MIL's My Husband is a Liver Transplant as well. Until I dragged him off to the Doc in 2009, he hadn't been seen since 1984, the year he had his cancer DX and Op. He didn't know he had HepC, of course, they didn't know about it then. HepA, HepB and non A or B. It is likely he got it from a transfusion in surgery, although there are no records to check that now.  I think if he got HepC from transfusion in California in the 80's, he is lucky that is all he got.

That list, man. Thou Shalt NOT, I called it. They were even concerned as I only had a 2 year green card I couldn't act as the caregiver. (Which turned out to be rubbish)  I had applied for ROC, but it took nearly a year, and I just got that before he was allowed home. He's had to give up some of his favorite things, like sushi, and grapefruit, and rare steak. Immunosuppression sucks the big one.

I'm sorry your late Husband didn't have the chance for transplant. My Husband was lucky, pure and simple. He was listed with a MELD score of 38, and after three weeks on the list in hospital, he had a donor, over the Memorial Day weekend. Very sick by then, hallucinating all sorts. I was at the Hospital 16-18 hours a day, and I pulled a couple of all-nighters as well. It was pretty scary after the fact, to read in notes that they didn't think he would live long enough for a transplant.

He is presently planted in front of the TV, he's taken what he can in the way of pain relief, and he has a wheat bag behind him I hope he sleeps tonight.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
