Stupid POTS accountants urgently need more data from us, incompetent they men.

However, corpulent purring feline now occupies our lap, ensconced miu man.

Our bag of potato cheaps is being lashed with an athletic tail, wag it miu man.

Poisoned mushrooms. All quite innocent, really. Along with 7 other Paramedics, I had just started in a new position in ER Triage about a week before. Most of the nursing staff wouldn't speak to us, as that had been their job until then, but the other staff were quite friendly. One guy, in particular, was very friendly, annoyingly so. We'd been forewarned he was a bit of a Lothario about the place.  Plonked himself down next to me at the break room table and proceeded to quiz me.

 

Married?

Not at the moment.

So married before?

Three times.

Wow, you don't look old enough!

Sorry. All the same, three times.

He says to the person sitting opposite...hey Doc! We have our very own ZaZa Gabor here! Divorced three times!

No, widowed twice,  I  divorced the last one.

Why?

Because he wouldn't eat the poisoned mushrooms.

Never had another minutes bother from him.

 

Out of the blue, the MIL has emailed me. Not heard word one from her since we moved house. She hopes we are not angry with her, and won't cut her out of our lives.  Seriously. The only thing I can't work out is what she wants. The sensible bit of my brain says not to respond at all. The evil half of my brain wants to get on my top note with her, and tell her a few things for the good of her soul.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

MIL - I think I'd have to delete an awful lot of replies before crafting one that walked the line of letting her know just how angry/p'd off you really are, that if you never see her again it'll be too soon & politely wishing her well & you hope she's enjoying her new life.

 

 My MIL had me rush her to the doctor today because she said she was bleeding heavily when peeing, she was certain she has some major kidney disease and took a bottle of urine with her

Turns out she's been wholesale eating of pickled beets and there's nothing wrong with her 😁
