Mini-B. was in a grand mood this morn, upbeat wee man.

We pulled a trick on him, devious we man.

He normally comes to us before skool to kiss us while we're still lounging in bed, groggy we man.

Today, we arose a bit early and stood out of view when he telegraphed his arrival, covert we man.

When he entered the bedroom, we sprang forth and yelled "Ha!", suddenly visible we man.

He jumped but got a kick out of it, jovial wee man.

 

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Frankly, we'd sometimes prefer poisoned mushrooms to some of the vile slop that Mrs. T-B. adds to otherwise perfectly good dishes, man...

This is what the Dane thinks when I try and serve him vegetables other than potatoes.

The answer is plain, Nola-B. ma'am:  serve only potatoes to Mr. Nola-B., plain ma'am.

Or, put the illegal vegetables on the side, so that they do not contaminate or otherwise foul anything else on the plate, si ma'am.

Then, he is free to ignore said illegal veggies and is therefore happy, If Papa Ain't Happy No One's Happy man.

 

The principle is as follows, see ma'am:

Wife:  "Why don't you like what I cook, huh man?"

Hub.:  "Why don't you cook what I like, huh ma'am?"

Nope.  He gained a lot of weight when I was pregnant.  His shirts don't fit anymore.  His excuse was that I wasn't cooking dinner very often and I sent him out to buy food (which led him to buy snacks).

 

He is going to eat all of the veggies or I will shove them down his pie hole.

Is the Dane part Irish? I'll never forget visiting Ireland and going into a non-touristy pub once and ordering a plate of food. They put 4 different servings of potatoes, each prepared in a different way, on my plate. I'm not sure I even asked for potatoes much less 4 different types.

Maybe.  I mailed his ancestrydna sample yesterday, so I guess we'll find out.  The Vikings did bring back slaves from places and they were in Ireland.

 

More likely is that the Germans introduced potato farming to Denmark and it seems the only things Denmark produces are potatoes, rye, wheat, and pigs, lots of pigs.
