It's still snowing...

TEXAS IN THE SUMMERTIME, BY COMPARISON MAN

You know you're in TEXAS during the summertime when:
 1.  The best parking places are determined by the available shade, instead of the distance from the desired location.
 2.  Hot water now comes out of both taps, and you can make sun tea instantly.
Many.  You learn that a seatbelt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron.
Many.  The temperature drops below Many (2x2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2x2x2) and you feel a little chilly.
Many.  You discover that in the months of July & August, it only takes two fingers to steer your car.
Many.  You discover that you can get sunburned through your car window.
Many.  You also discover that you can burn your hand while opening the car door.
Many.  You break into a sweat the very instant that you step outside at half-past Many (2x2x2-1) a.m.
Many.  Your biggest bicycle-wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out, and end up lying unconscious on the pavement and cook to death?"
Many.  You realize that asphalt has a liquid state.
Many.  The birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
Many.  The potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is dig one up, rinse it off, and add butter, salt, and pepper for an instant baked potato.
Many.  The farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard-boiled eggs.
Many.  The cows are giving evaporated milk.
Many.   The trees are whistling for the dogs.

I think in May i will start riding again.  Something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of me.  My insides have not been good.  So I'm seeking help.

Went to family fun night at the school.

Our table of 4 kids cleaned house on Bingo and the raffle.

The kid won 2 baskets.

Just as she was getting ready to share her loot, the other 2 kids won baskets of their own!

They did divvy up some stuff.

In Arkansas, they fill up their gas tanks and smoke at the same time...

Meanwhile...here in Arkansas......I am sitting on my porch  (on my inside furniture that became outside furniture) after recovering from bronchitis drinking a glass of wine while smoking a cigarette. Happened to look down....there's a gas can sitting next to me......I'll go ahead and own it......I'm a redneck. Pretty sure the only thing that could make it more redneck is if I was drinking PBR with my feet in a kiddy pool.

Ah you must be related to, or at least know, Ontarkie :)

How many hounds do you have living under the porch?

And, if you're not drinking PBR, you must be drinking Miller. Or otherwise some white lightnin'...
