That's a feat all right. My 2 drive me nuts. Right now, the older one doesn't want a sister. And the little one isn't playing with the older one. How do you get a 3 year old to the point where she's not even talking to you? I'm so disappointed at the older one...

1) yes - they don't want us taking overtime anymore though because people abuse it.  I genuinely only get overtime because I friggin work hard.

Yes, it is actually the term we used in anatomy class, as in both the female and male organs that make reproductive cells.

Reasonable, I suppose. It's 20 years old. She was always big on the replacement of appliances and turned those over every 3 years, needed or not.  Not so much on the house itself. The last thing she did to that was in 2008 when she had the back patio enclosed. Its billed as heated and cooled by the central air system, but in fact, it isn't insulated at all and unusable for that reason the best part of the winter and summer.

 

In the nearly 8 years we were there, she had nothing done at all to the house, other than a new roof following a very little bit of hail. The neighbors were getting theirs done, and so she thought she'd have one as well. I don't know the state of the central air, I've never seen anybody out there checking that over. There are two water heaters, the one at her end of the house was only replaced when it failed and flooded her out. The one at our end of the house is original. The gas fire in the lounge has never worked, for some reason, it won't fire. It had a remote, which might work if she had any idea of where it went.

 

The slate tiles in the areas of most frequent use are loose in places and crunch when you tread on them. I would think all of the carpets want replacing. This dog we have used to be penned up in her bedroom all night and wasn't let out, and so the carpet in there needs pulling up. I would think the underlay in there is rotten right through.

The front yard has a sprinkler system, and it looks good, but the backyard lawn, described as lush for reasons I don't understand, it a patchy mess. No amount of moving the sprinkler around out there all evening in the summer had the slightest effect.  The gardens are good, over the years I've managed to fill them up with fairly low maintenance plants that come up every year. The stone patio out there needs a lot of work. The cement that holds that together has crumbled away in spots, and you have to be careful along the edges or it breaks away under your feet. 

 

It does look good from the street, but I hope any prospective buyer has a good close look at what needs doing.

Went to CVS with their Many%-off coupon + manufacturer coupons and saved Many%, thrifty we man.

NWC (nap with cat) for 2 hours, highly necessary man.

Mrs. T-B. is resolved to remodel the kitchen and will not be gainsaid, no gainsay she man.

She plans to have Ikea do the remodeling, Norse-by-Norsewest man.

However, before measurements can be obtained, we must have our new appliances on hand, $.O.$. man.

These must be here in a hurry, such as the end of next (not this upcoming) week, sigh man.

We refuse to pay full retail and will not be gainsaid, no gainsay we man.

Therefore, we need solid advice from the knowledgeable in this thread, contribute please man.

 

We need the following (all electric), see man:

 

1.  In-wall oven, $i man.

     Current one is Many x Many x Many inches: (2x2x2x2+2+2+1+half) wide x the same deep x (2x2x2x2+2+2+2+half) tall, man.

     It is too big inside for Mrs. T-B., smaller OK man.

     She needs no fancy features, standard OK man.

 

2.  Flat glass cooktop, $i man.

     Current one is KitchenAid, Many x Many inches: (2x2x2x2x2-1-half) long x (2x2x2x2+2+2+1+half) deep, man.

 

Many.  Warshdisher, possibly man.

             We (its chief user) have been very happy with the current Amana, relatively new man.

             However, inside is somewhat crudded with hard-water deposits or something, man.

             We would like to rehabilitate vs. replace it (with the same model) if possible, advice man.

 

What recommendations for good less-than-retail purchases do you have, huh man/ma'am?
