It is older and needs some updates it seems.

Stables + horses = $$$$$$$$$$$

yeah that interior is not my cup of tea. But I did see a couple of other ones that's very nice, no horse, no smoke house, but nicer house.

According to my cousin, who lives in Howell, The breeders pay you to board their horses when they go race in the Aqueduct, Meadowlands, and Belmont

$6000/month mortgage.... must be nice.

If the govt shuts down we wont afford our own mortgage...

Personally i think making workers work for free is ridiculous.  The public would go apepoo crazy on the govt if they couldnt do anything because everything govt was actually shut down.  But they expect govt workers just to suck it up.  congressmen are still getting paid tho.. go figure.

I'd finance about 500k, the mortgage is more like 2,500 or so....

2- It's actually very rare for the Gov't to shut down like that.

OK now back to reality...in Fooklyn NY....

So I was outside earlier with the snowblower, clearing the street in front of my driveway, this fook was like waiting in a minivan.

As if he was waiting for me to clear the street so he can block my driveway....

I was like....GTFOH you #### idiot!

I pointed to my driveway, and he took off.

yeah ok you #### dum fook, I'm just going to clear the street so you can park there.

This is what we deal with here now.

Illegal savage Fooks from China!

BTW that new Disney in Shanghai?

The china government has to print etiquette books to tell these people to don't P in public.

Remember whn I went to HK Disney? And I was telling you guys that the mainlanders ####### and pee everywhere EXCEPT in the bathrooms?

Its happened once already since he has had his job.  Furlough sucks.  Sure go to work, we will pay you later, not that the mortgage or other bills stop.

This is when have 6+ months of salary saved up comes in handy.  Not always possible, I know, but a good idea.  The employer should advance the money until reimbursed by the federal government - but of course that would be too logical and all.

Hard when the employer IS the federal government.  Hubs is not a contractor nor does he work for one.  He is directly an employee of the DoT.

Unfortunately the dog had some issues this summer and ate up my savings and hubs isnt the best with money.  I can keep us afloat for the house, and base bills, but not his vehicles.

Trophie that's a pipedream of a rule by some idiot long ago. My guys that make well into the 6 figures don't have that kind of savings. I dare say 90% of households don't have that kind of savings.

Nola has that kind of savings.  Nola's family members do too.  I feel really uncomfortable without adequate savings, like it would keep me up at night.

Fudge, my oldest child has that kind of savings.

I know I've got some special circumstances, but if I didn't, I would work, and it would be the same.  I micro-manage our spending/budget on a daily basis.

I was trying to trim our food budget and it coincided with the Dane's grumping today.  Consequence = plate full of raw spinach and carrots for dinner*.  Bwahahahaha.

*There were pork chops too.
