Adjustment of status employment letter question

So my HR lady wrote up the employment letter, and put down I make approximately $22,000 a year which I seen I have to make $30k for a family of 3. Would this being on the letter be a negative factor in the whole adjustment of status filing procedure ?

Nevertheless, this will have a negative to your spouses's I-485 because the USC does not meet the minimums for the affidavit of support

That's better than 30k that I thought... So if it says that I made 25,000 something on my pay stubs for this year to date shouldn't matter what she put on the letter?

Use your 2017 tax return rather than the HR letter is it shows sufficient income

So this letter wouldn't be a huge factor in determining the over all result then?

It would be a detriment if you presented it.  I never presented an HR letter just tax returns
