k1 visa status “issued”

Hi, the status showing for my fiancé says “issued” yet I haven’t received any communication from the embassy.  I didn’t even receive any after his embassy interview date. Is this normal? 

I also received an email from them regarding a different visa type. An SIV...  When I emailed and clarified it was for k1 and not an siv, I got zero response:

The embassy doesn't really communicate with you after the interview. How long ago did you email them?

I emailed them about a week ago (before the visa said issued) inquiring about our status. It has been since July 30th since his embassy interview. They emailed me back information regarding further steps for the SIV visa along with my fiancé’s name. Unclear why... so I emailed them back stating it’s for a k1 and not an SIV. Haven’t heard anything back since and then today our status changed to “issued”. 

 

Will i receive any information regarding when he is to pick up his visa? I keep reading about a waybill? I’m just wondering what to expect now that they issued a visa to my fiancé. I want to make sure I do everything right. We have waited so long 😓
