Change of first name

Hi i am a transgender fron philippines and i got merried last dec 29 here in new mexico USA, me and my husband got a merriage license with my real name in phil since we are merried now i want to change my first name but i dont know how!

Do you have two marriage licenses?  One in Phil and one in the USA?

I have a merriage lisence here in the USa but from phil i dont have i only have here is certification of singleness

I don't know how it works in New Mexico but in MN you can change your names upon marriage on the marriage certificate.  If New Mexico does not have this option, then you need to do a legal name change via the court system

When i we get our merriage license the lady ask my passport and she get my name by than she not even ask if i want to change my name.

It is the applicants responsibility to make there wishes known

 

Many states (New Mexico appears to be one) only allow a change of last name via marriage.  Minnesota is one that allows you to change any of your names.  

 

As such, now you need to change it via the court system.  Google name change in New Mexico or whichever state you will reside
