Hello there. My husband, his family and I are flying to Dominican Rep (Punta Cana) on Saturday for family gathering. They are all American citizens but me. Does anyone here experience to fly recently with expired green card and extension letter with no issues at Punta Cana Immigration? I've heard some stories that Immigration officers in Punta Cana didnt let in some people that hold expired green card with extension letter. Im so nervous, should I take the chance to go or not? Please clear it out for me. Im Philippine passport holder. Thank you!

I have never travelled to Punta Cana specifically with an expired green card but I have been to Mexico, Japan and Canada and it was easy every time. As long as you have your extension letter there should be no problem. I also bring with me my appointment letter from my biometrics interview, which should have a stamp on it, just as more proof.

Thank you for your response, but what passport you're holding? Just curious.

What the previous person said was correct. My wife is from the Philippines with philippines passport and she didnt have a problem traveling with expired greencard with extension letter and she also brought her stamp biometrics but they never ask. for that.
