I am not sure. I did medical examine in VN last Aug 2017 and it will be over 6 months since then till April 2018, so I think that's why they requested in the letter to bring it with me to the interview. Anyway, I think I better do it just in case they will ask again on the interview date.

No I didn't send that, I'm talking rubbish. I think we didn't do it because my medical from the UK was still within one year or something. I've forgotten now, I'll have to ask the hubby. I know there was a lot of debating about this at the time we filed for the AOS. Eurgh, so confusing.

I also had my medical from VN and it was still within one year. When I filed AOS, I attached the vaccination record with it too. My husband said, just to avoid any problems, he think he will send me to have medical examine again in US before interview date

I really hope that is not the case. I really don't want to have to go through the medical again, not to mention the cost. I doubt I could even get an appointment before the interview date. The nearest certified doctor is a 2 hour drive for us too

I am luckier that I can find many Authorized Doctor near where I live. You can check again here by typing your zip code to find the nearst one : https://my.uscis.gov/findadoctor

My friend also got the same RFE even though hers wasn't expired. She got the RFE during the interview. A few days later, though, she saw that her case status changed to approved despite not having another medical exam done yet. Got her GC soon after. I think the IO realized his mistake after the interview and approved her AOS.

So  asked hubby. We do not need the i693 as my medical was provided to immigration at point of entry. I have never seen it nor taken a copy as it was sealed up and I was told to hand it in at immigration at the airport, which I did. My medical was carried out July 5th 2017 in the UK but I only gave it to immigration when I got to the states on 27th September 2017. My interview is April 30th 2018 so either way I am within one year so all is good. I don't need to have another medical or have an i693 completed by a civil surgeon here in the states. The only thing I will be taking with me medical wise, is a copy of my vaccination record as I have read that this can sometimes be misplaced. I can't take a copy of my medical as I was never given one and I was not allowed to open the envelope. I'm confident I won't have any issues. **fingers crossed**

I would think you won't need to schedule another medical exam to complete I693 unless your medical exam records gets lost  somewhere from POE point to the the local field office. My medical exam was taken around June 2017. My interview is April 23rd. I will keep update regarding to this matter.

The wife was able to get her license renewed as PPR (Pending Permanent Residency) using the I-797 from our Biometric appointment, so at least for Ohio you just need the Passport, Marriage Certificate, Social Security Card if you have it, I-797 for your I-485 or Biometric Appointment and boom you have your license. They even gave her a full 4 year license.

i don't think all states complying with the REAL ID Act allow that.   my state of Hawaii requires the EAD card,SSN card,  unexpired passport, Marriage certificate, 2 documents to prove local residency.   

 

 

by year 2020, your state ID, state license must meet READ ID Act to pass TSA security to travel domestic.  State ID issuing offuce puts a gold star on your ID if complies with REAL ID Act.

i heard from some people that they passed the GC interview even after the k-1 medical expired. Some were asked to redo it after the interview.  once it was submitted they passed GC interview.  

so i think it really depends on your situation and the officer.   I think best not to redo it unless you are specifically told to do it.

Wawuuuuuuu! Whattttt. I got my interview notice today slated for April 28th, 2018. When i saw the mail via informed delivery this morning, I assumed it could either be my EAD approval notice or change of address notice as i updated my address online last week. Good luck to everyone waiting. it is surely a pleasant surprise and big relief.
