I read this online, so I called USCIS to ask about it. The person that I spoke with said that they do not restart the clock at 0. A RFIE will slow down your processing because they have to wait for your response, but there is no official restarting of the process. I also had a RFIE, and my work authorization expires in June, so I am starting to get really nervous. I love my job and don't want to jeopardize it.

Did you get your biometrics appointment yet? Luckily I had mine before my RFIE (more than a month ago).

If I do not have my EAD by the middle of April, I will get my employer to help me put together an expedite request. I've been with the company for a few years, so they would lose money. The person I spoke with on the phone told me that the best way to have a successful expedite request is to show that someone will be losing money that they need. They said that the request would be more successful if I showed that my employer would lose money. I guess they are more sympathetic to businesses than individuals because we are supposed to have planned for lost income as part of the AOS/GC process...

Good that makes me feel bitter, thank you, praying that all get our EAD soon

Hi guys,

i will be reaching 75 days this week for my EAD application. Do you think is a good idea to do an SR online about that?

Has anyone been successful with just an SR?

I know most ppl didnt even hear back about SR they submitted. So idk what to do

Thank you!

Easier said than done but I would wait till you reach 90 day. By reading other threads of filers from previous months, the people that had their EAD approved on or before the 75th day are part of a minority; most SR never get an answer. Most EADs are approved around 90-100 days. If you can hold yourself for 2 weeks I would do it, and if you really cant and your field office isnt too far I would book an infopass, I believe it is easiser to plead your case in person than over the phone

I actually gave them a call on Friday as regards my EAD application and I requested for an expedition.

The officer listed the criteria upon which such a request could be made and also be given some sort of consideration.

So I decided to go for financial loss even though it doesn't really encompass my reason. Later that evening I got a mail asking me to fax in some evidence to support my request..

Hopefully something good comes out of it.. And am on my 68th day by the way..

I have gained 30lbs since I got here and it's starting to get depressing. @.@ Hopefully we get approved right after our interview on Apr 3 so I can regain my freedom. I love computer gaming and I am pretty introverted (no problem socializing, I just prefer being alone) so I haven't had major issues about being stuck at home or feeling homesick... but after seeing that I went from 120 to 150lbs in 7months, I was alarmed. Yeah I can work out at home but it bores me to tears. I need my freedom back!

I know its hard. Just try not to think abt it too much! tell yourself it'll soon be over! Try jogging/walking during the days if the weather permits, and like I said before maybe try volunteering somewhere trust me it'll help take your mind off things at least for few hrs at a time. I hope we all get some good news real soon! Good luck

My husband needs a booster vaccine before our green card interview next Monday. Does anyone know if he can bring in proof he got the vaccine or does he need a whole new medical packet? Thanks!

You cannot walk in for a biometrics appointment without an appointment letter. Wait for it to arrive in your mailbox and then you can try a early walk-in If need be or just comply with the appointment date stated on the letter

I know right.. It's crazy how things are going on with those guys..

They seem to be taking their freaking precious time in handling applications of in quote jobless applicants..

Anyways, did you request for an expedition yet?  Or you simply waiting on them?

Oh wow! Hopefully you'll feel better soon. Toothaches are no fun

Well I finally feel better the first 72 hours after the extraction were horrible. I had a bad reaction to the painkiller they gave me and I could not eat for 3 days. Could not keep a thing down. Thankfully last night I started to keep more than liquids down. So now just trying to build up my energy again. Still can't fully chew as I am really bruised on my left side so its a lot of applesauce, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bananas and mashed taters. LOL
