We got a RFE for our check and we sent it right back last week but I'm a little scared because we only have a regular copy of our marriage certificate and they didn't mention anything about that.

Just wondering if that was the only thing that was wrong with the package and we're good to go or the chances of getting another RFE are still there?

Did you get a rejection notice or a request for evidence for your check? I'm asking because we got the rejection notice due to incorrect fees and after we sent the correct amount, we got the noa1.

If yo take some time and look at the EAD time processing times here (VJ) you will see that as of TODAY no one has received the EAD card yet. Again this is based on people`s profile, and so there may or not exist people that have received but not updated their profile.

Indeed!  You indirectly brought up a great tip, that is to go back and read the forums from the last few months.  It will give you a fairly good idea what to expect along the AOS journey from others up ahead.

@DebbieWRaney I'm a little confused. Weren't you supposed to resend the application (forms, supporting docs, correct fee) after a rejection? Did you do that or did you just send the correct fee and you got a NOA1 after?

@nanaaalex wait, so did you get a Request for Evidence letter or a rejection notice? Because if it is a rejection, you have to resend the paperwork with the correct fees but if it is an RFE then you only have to resend what they asked for. This does not guarantee you won't get another RFE, though. I have seen some who got an RFE before the biometrics and another one after. If you did get a rejection, I suggest reviewing your paperwork carefully and ensuring everything is correct and complete to avoid getting an RFE, or worse, another rejection notice. Good luck!

Yes, you are. When I received the rejection notice, they sent all my forms and etc back. So all I did was resent it all back with the correct fees and the paper they asked me to put on top (yellow paper).
