So I just checked my case online, and it says that I was sent an Request for Initial evidence for my i-485. I can't figure out what I might have missed. I was very thorough. I guess they might not like the photocopy of my birth certificate, but otherwise I am at all loss...

Is it possible that they lost a document? Does this happen often?

We are in the same boat, I got a similar email on saturday and I really cant figure out what it is about because everything was there and we triple checked everything.

From what I read most RFEs are about tax return, birth certificates translations/originals or copies of marriage certificate.

I have been stalking my mail man hoping it will come today for us to fix it asap

@Kaitmarie we are so excited for you! Did you apply for your EAD/Employment Auth and Advance Parole as well or just the I-485 Adjustment of Status?

Anyone else had any updates since completing Biometrics? Patience is not my strongest quality!

I used the USCIS app to look up 500 case numbers around me and only within 10 numbers of all 500 has an update of “ready to schedule for your interview”, I’m sure we’re still on track. Patience.

Hey All:

I'm starting to get a bit frustrated as our receive date was Jan8th and Fingerprint fee received was jan 16th at the Texas center but have not received notice for biometrics. I have read take it should take 3-5 weeks. Is this too long. If so, how should I proceed?

thanks

Yes, I received the letters january 16th but still no biometrics letters

Hmm, I'd try calling them to see what's up. Ask for a tier 2 rep, maybe they have a way to see if the biometrics letter was mailed.
