Contents include the following:

 

1. Form G-1145: Request for E-notification

2. Form I-485: Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

• Check payment in the amount of $1,225 (Biometrics fee included)

• Supporting documents:

  • Two (2) passport-size pictures

  • Copy of intending immigrant’s birth certificate

  • Copy of passport identification page

  • Copy of passport page with K1 visa and admission stamp

  • Copy of all other stamped pages of passport

  • Copy of form I-94

  • Copy of forms I-797C (Receipt) and I-797 (Approval) Notice of Action

  • Copy of vaccination record and medical examination receipts

  • Copy of marriage license and certificate

  • Copy of wedding ring receipts

  • Wedding photos

3. Form I-864: Affidavit of Support

How many people did you apply for? I got 6 because there are 3 of us applying for AOS and EAD. If you are the only applicant applying for AP as well (I just decided we don't need it), then 3 emails/texts are enough

Wow you started this process in 2015 and finally came last August.  I woulda gone crazy lol

Some update! Money orders have been cashed. I don't have email/text

notification so been checking money orders😂 now I'm just waiting for the NOA. I must say I feel a little better. I was worried they wouldn't accept the money orders because they were purchased at walmart.

Jan 17 - NOA1 Received (485/130/131/765)

Jan 18 - Checks cashed by USCIS

Jan 19 - Biometrics Notice Sent

Jan 26 - Biometrics Notice Received

Feb 06 - Biometrics Appointment Date (Atlanta)

Just for 1.   Just here waiting for the NOA1 hard copies and most importantly Biometrics Appt letter.

So glad it is and it is so much better to be with our spouses during AOS. The wait for the K-1 without being together was excruciating lol

Indeed most of the stress and pressure has gone away.  AOS is smooth sailing because you are taking the journey together.

Just an update,  yesterday we got our NOA1 letters and Biometrics letter on the same day!  It literally took the notices a week longer to get here than the Biometrics Appointment letter and coming from the same place.

Mmmhmmm. Today marks a year since my husband and I got engaged.  So we are celebrating. I made him a nice breakfast of eggs and hash browns this morning. This afternoon we went out for really good ice cream at Colorado City Creamery. Best ice cream in town. This evening we have a reservation at Ted Montana's Grill. My husband's doctor recommended it to us because of the diet my husband is on and we love it.  They are super great about substitutions. My husband is on a low FODMAP diet due to his ibs. So basically we cut out lots of things mainly gluten, onions and garlic. It seems to be working. He has felt so much better lately.
