We sent our package by FedEx due to my distrust of USPS.  I'm willing to pay the premium for that.  It was received today, so now it is the check cashing and NOA1 to look forward to.

Finally done.

Just wanted to follow up and let anybody  know in the same situation, I just got in the mail today the check back telling me I didn't need to send that payment and nothing else is needed from me for now. OUF, what a relief I was scared that it would have delayed the entire process

Im glad! Good luck

I don't think you would do an employment authorization for a child young enough to not need fingerprints, but I would expect you would get the AOS update for him! Check the numbers on the website to see if they have names attached.

Well, EAD is the shortest way for a child to get a SSN, that's why we applied for it. When you check your case status on the USCIS website, there are no names, just numbers. I guess someone just got tired of sending 6 texts to the same phone number and skipped the last two. Hopefully we get NOAs for everyone...

Got our case numbers for AOS,EAD and AP. The fingerprint fee was also received. Yay! Got to wait for the NOA1 hard copies. I hope there will be no problem or RFIE. I’m tired of being unemployed. Lol. What’s next?

If they received already your fingerprint fee, you can walk in to the uscis office near you? How??

You cannot walk in for a biometrics appointment without an appointment letter. Wait for it to arrive in your mailbox and then you can try a early walk-in If need be or just comply with the appointment date stated on the letter
