One more update, the combo EAD/AP card arrived today in a mini priority mail envelope.

So for I-765 and I-131:

NOA1 1/2/2018, Notice of approval 5/17/2018, arrival of notice on 5/21/2018, and card in hand 5/25/2018, 8 days after approval.

Looks like we're just shy of 5 months from filing to card right now.

I just want to share my update. I woke up with an email from USCIS stating they had taken action to my case. And it said they mailed my card. Also today I receive I-797 for approval notice.

I had my interview on April 23rd and it didn’t go too well. The IO gave me hard time regarding to an incident a friend of mine got into which I wasn’t there. In the end of the interview she kept pushing bout that incident and gave me a handout saying the interview was completed and they had 120 day period to take action. It was so frustrating. After 1 month frustration of waiting, finally I can get some relief.

I-485 application:

PD date: 1/12/18

Interview date: 4/23/18

Approval date: 5/20/18

Expected card delivered date: 5/29/18.

No news of EAD or AP at this moment.

I checked bout website dhs and myaccount uscis. My account uscis gave me tracking number of my card package

Hi guys.

For those who asked or were wondering about getting a new SS card, after the Green Card, with the married name and without the wording "DHS work authorization thingy", I went to the SS Office last Friday to request my new card and everything went well. The officer told me it'd arrive in 7 - 10 business days. Luckily, I checked my Informed Delivery this morning and I saw there was a letter coming from the SS Administration. And it was my new card! Now, I just need to change all my docs and get my DL! Yay!

Yeah the SSA office was really nice when I went there a week ago to get the SS card changed to my married name since I finally got my EAD in the mail. The guy congratulated us on our marriage and congratulated me on getting my EAD. He asked me what kind of work I was looking for and I said receptionist hopefully as that is my field but I would take most anything. LOL He said good for you. I just need to go change my DL once my new SSN card comes. :) Will be nice to have everything in my married name then.

Your interview sounds like it was a tough experience!  I am happy for you that all ended well.  How did they even know about your friend and the incident they were involved in and why did they think you were involved?  Did they tell you?  Crazy!

I just got a notification saying that my EAD is being produced! I sent in an expedite request through my Senator and Congress woman about two weeks ago. On Monday, I received the notification that my case was being routed for expedite (for review). I am adjusting from TN, and my work authorization expires on June 14. I enlisted the help of my senator and congresswoman. Both offices were very helpful, and I would encourage anyone else to do the same. They told me that they have their own computer system that they use to submit requests to USCIS.

I still haven't heard about the travel document, but I'm assuming that I will receive a combo card. We will see.

Our case was received on January 19. However, we had a RFIE back in February, so that set my timeline back.

Oh, great! Did you use any support documents during the expedite process? If yes, what documents? If not, what reason did you give so that your EAD can be issued quicker?

Hello everyone! I haven't been here for a while, too busy studying:)

Congrats on all the approvals, interviews, new cards and other good news!

I got my EAD approval in the mail yesterday, now waiting for the card, yay!

My AOS interview was scheduled on the 22nd, hopefully the letter with all the details arrives soon.

How long does it usually take from getting the letter to the interview? Our baby is due in July, it would be wonderful to have this quest over with by then:)

Mine was about a month. Good luck!

Thank you dear. Basically they did background check fbi check on me and they threw out a history that my bff/roommate had my Id/ driver license. I didn’t know how she got mine and I belived there was no reason she stole/ got my ID so I kept denying that fact. The CO later came back to the question again regarding to if I encontered any problem at border. Then I knew the incident which was way back in 2009. I was out of US visiting my family while my bff/roommate went to Canada with her friends and got stopped and her purse was searched at the border. Maybe my ID was with her in her purse but we both didnt aware of that. We were so close we shared stuff together but at the interview I was so dump I couldnt think of that.
