Hi all,

We will be filing my husband's AOS soon and wanted to confirm we aren't forgetting anything. I figured it would be best to ask in a group where people are already approved since you have a better idea of what's to come.

Can you take a look at the list below and let me know if I need to adjust anything?  Thank you!

I-485 Form and Supporting Documents

1.       Payment US $1,225 (Filing fee + Biometrics fee)

2.       Form G-1145

3.       I-485 form

4.       Copy of I-797, Notice of Approval for the I-129F petition

5.       Copy of marriage certificate

6.       Copy of birth certificate

7.       Copy of biographic page of passport, entry stamps and visa page

8.       Copy of Form I-94, Arrival-Departure Record

9.       (2) 2”X 2” size passport photo

10.     Copy of Vaccination Documentation Worksheet

11.     Duly accomplished form I-864, Affidavit of support from my husband along with the following documents:

a.       Employment letter

b.       3 months worth of most recent paystubs

c.       Copy of Tax returns from past three (3) years

d.       Copy of W2’s from the past three (3) years

e.       Copy of birth certificate of the petitioner

I-765 Form and Supporting Documents

Application for Employment Authorization

1.       Form G-1145

2.       I-765 form

3.       Copy of biographic page of passport

4.       Copy of I-797 approval and form I-94 (front and back)

5.       Certified copy of marriage certificate

6.       (2) 2”X 2” size passport photo

I-131 Form and Supporting Documents

Application for Travel Document (Advance Parole)

1.       Form G-1145

2.       I-131 form

3.       Copy of biographic page of passport

4.       I-94 (front and back)

5.       Copy of I-797, Notice of Approval for the I-129F petition

6.       Certified copy of marriage certificate

7.       (2) 2”X 2” size passport photo

I would add a translation of the birth certificate if not in English with a statement from the translator certifying he/she is fluent in both languages (English and foreign language), documents/pictures that show proof of bona fide marriage (bank statements, joint lease, car/life/health insurance, cellphone plan, etc).

A quick question to everyone who has been approved... Did your I-130 get approved at the same time as I-485 or before it?

Hi. Do you mean I-131 (Advance Parole)?

If so, I've never received my EAD and AP. But once you get your I-485 approved, you don't need your AP anymore. :)

Just received my gc exactly a week after my interview yahooo!!! 😀🥂

Can't wait for my mini vacation within 2 weeks.

That's amazing!

This morning I've received a text message from DHS with the USPS tracking number which said it'd be delivered tomorrow, Wednesday. However, for my surprise my card arrived today in the mail! Also 1 week after my interview!

I can't answer that either. Thats the problem with this being the K-1 AOS forum yet everyone comes here anyway. lol I have noticed that the ones who should be in the other go there too. LOL I get too confused with the other visa types.

I got my EAD approval notice in the mail today. Now to wait for the actual card. WOOHOO!!

I forgot that K-1 filers had their I-130 approved a long time ago. Sorry for the wrong post. There are not many concurrent filers so we all come here. Good luck y'all.

To be honest I didn't even realized that this was a k-1 forum till after I already posted and since there wasn't one for h2b visa holders i just stayed. Anyways for those filing concurrently from visas other than k-1 usually the i130 is approved same time as i485. There have been cases in the past where the i130 is approved first then the ead then i485  however these days most cases the i485 moves faster than the others when filing concurrently! As for me I'm still waiting haven't heard a thing since bio in Feb.😒

Talk about depressing, I went to the USCIS processing time site to check on AP times.

They have a case inquiry cut-off date, if you filed before it you're past the normal processing time and can file an inquiry.

A month ago it was December 13th.

They updated it today to December 17th. They moved four days in a month.

Still nothing on EAD, AP or the AOS since we did biometrics in January. We're coming up on 7 months since wifey has been able to see her mother.

Same for me except the weird message that still shows up amd days that interview is canceled. It was never scheduled lol. I even got info pass and went to see what the deal was and they said that it was erroneously scheduled too early and they canceled it. They don't even have my file in the field office yet so I guess I am in for a long wait. My office is supposed to be quick but it is not...

I've had the user defined error since march and haven't gotten a date so i guess I'm in for the long wait too sadly. I miss my dad and was hoping i could go see him for his 60th this summer but from the looks of it that may not happen

@kvito28 Could you share your expedite EAD experience? I just got a rejection on the expedite request for the EAD. They said my case isn't severe enough. I did send them my job offer. What did you tell them on your reason? What documents did you send them?

Hi all,

You Guys know how long it take to get GC ? I had interview last Thursday (05/10) and got welcome letter on Monday, but my case status still say “ case approved “ . It don’t change to “ card was mail “ like some people share their experience. I had no EAD or travel permit, stay home 3 months without work, so stressful. Anyone had experience, please share!

Thank you so much!
