Thought I would let you know about the updates via the old USCIS tracker and the new one. Both updated for me when my EAD was approved. lol Just food for thought.

Also it is a sad but a good thing day. My 96 year old Grandpa passed away early early this morning just after midnight central time. I was the first one my brother called because I am an hour before and he wanted his big sisters advice on how to tell everyone else in the family. I am happy Grandpa is not suffering anymore but sad because he was such a wonderful man who did so much in his life. He was a tail gunner in World War II and worked for Hudson Bay during the fur trade era. He will be missed especially his jokes. We are known for our cheesy jokes and that comes from my Grandpa's side. lol

So Sorry about your loss dear, will you go for the funeral? You can always try for an emergency AP by booking an Infopass at your locl office.

Like you said he lived a full life and you have plenty memories.

Be strong!

Thank you hun. No I will not go to it. Grandpa told me last year to not worry if I did not make it back for his funeral whenever that would be. My brother and Uncle are chatting about when it should be this afternoon. It is just gonna be a small funeral at the chapel out at the cemetery when my grandpa will be buried next to grandma who passed away 6 years ago. Small because he only has family left. Everyone he knew as a friend or acquaintance is already gone from this world. My husband and I will travel back to Manitoba, Canada next year and visit his grave. :)

BTW Happy Mother's Day everyone. :) I am a fur kid Mum myself. lol My cat Pixie is 13 in human years and thinks she is a teenager. LOL

Holding my breath for Wednesday's interview:

My mom, once again, told me that she's not going to joint sponsor my husband, however, I'm still unsure as to whether or not she actually withdrew her sponsorship (I'm too scared to ask!). She doesn't know his birthday, alien number, any receipt number, nada about him--only his first and last name. So I don't know if her letter would ever make it to our case! I don't know guys. I'm sure nervous!

Does anybody know how long it takes to have the card in hand in the mailbox lol ( ive heard one 1 week after?)

Congrats! My card came 4 days after the production email. The I-797 came at the same time.

Well we had the interview on the 9th, afterward the lady asked us if we understood how the conditional status worked and then handed us a form saying she reserved the right to review the packet. I guess the Cleveland office typically does interviews in the morning, recheck packet in the afternoon and approve. The 797 notify us of approval was in the mail today and dated for the 9th. So now just waiting for the actual card. Kind of happy with how much faster this was than the K1 nightmare.

Congrats on your approval though. :)

Least someone has one faster than K-1. Lots of us live in states that do not. Shrugs. I have probably another 9 or more months to interview. LOL

Cleveland is I guess known for being pretty good/quick. I guess the Columbus office isn't nearly as good. The only torture is that the lawyer got the letter today, it was in Informed Delivery for us but didn't show up. Happens sometimes with our address, should be delivered tomorrow at least. Good luck on your adjustment.

Hi Guys! Does anyone know how to file to Expedite an EAD. I am F-1 adjusting status since I married a US citizen. My current EAD expires June 4th, and I still don't have my new EAD. Thus, I need to expedite it because I can't loose  my job,--> it would result in severe financial loss.

Please advise

Thanks! :)

I believe you have to call speak to a tier 2 officer and request to expedite then they will give you the steps on how you can fax them the proof for reason the you needed expedited. Correct me if I'm wrong any body seen this in another thread the steps.

Yes like Giorod says, @peruvianflake thats correct you have to call and request for an expedite and the reason would be severe financial loss, here is a thread that can help you:

I believe your case would be solid if your employer can explain in a letter that it will be a loss for them if they have to let go of you because they will have to hire another person and train them and it will take time. A letter from you as well explaining your financial loss if you lost your job is not a bad idea either.

Good luck

@N & A, In looking over what you have, I would say that it is similar to what we submitted except we did not send a copy of the NOA2 for I-129F.  I don't think that is nec.  We did not go for the AP, so did not send anything there.  I would recomend that you go to the USCIS site and verify that you have the latest form.  Look at both the Expiration date at the top right and the Form date on the lower left.  It is important that you have the latest form.
