Dear filers I have these worries about my name order and need advice from you guys: the name order on my passport was wrongly put. So the order is different from the one on my birth certificate. However, we’ve been using the order of name on my birth certificate through out this process. But because my K1 visa was issued on the same passport, my I-94 form has this order. But all my other documents since K1 have the correct order on my birth certificate. My question is, should I call USCIS to correct this now or let them correct it during my interview. I didn’t want to change the name format for fear of confusion between my K1 application documents and AOS application documents. I’ll gladly listen to each and everyone’s advice here

Mine is next week too! I’ve reprinted all the forms I submitted and some 100 photos annotated with dates and place. Got all the usual evidence (leases, bank statement, etc). I made a Google spreadsheet that I share with my husband which we populate with all of our details and answers to potential interview questions.

Saw this article on the New York Times yesterday and thought people here would be interested:

Hi all - haven't posted too much here, but was so excited yesterday to get an email that our interview is being scheduled!! We're hoping to get the date in the mail in the next few days. Our priority date was January 26, so definitely a lot quicker than expected! We received a RFIE for the I-864 on February 22 and our response was received March 6. We will be interviewing at the Philadelphia office.

The timing works well because my husband's H-1B expires at the end of August, so hopefully we will not even need to worry about the EAD if we get approved at the interview :)

Best of luck to everyone!

'Ready to be scheduled for interview' or 'Interview date mailed'? There is a huge difference between the two. The first one means they may have sent you an interview date, or you might be waiting a long time depending on your local office processing times.

02/14/18 - Married

03/02/18 - AOS Sent

04/02/18 - Biometrics appointment @ Field Office

04/16/18 - Courtesy letter received re: Medical

07/17/18 - EAD card in production, AP approved

07/21/18  - Combo card in hand

10/18/18 - GC Interview  (Approved on the spot)

Thanks - "On april 19, we scheduled an interview for your I-485". and says an interview notice has been mailed. I should have mentioned that I am pretty familiar with the process, as I was an immigration paralegal years ago, before I met my husband!

Awesome, great news! I'm glad you're familiar with the process :) It's just I've seen people get left upset when they've had to wait months when they get 'ready for interview', which of course is an entire different kettle of fish! :) Did yours go from 'ready for interview' to this yesterday? If so, how long did you wait for them to mail your interview date? :)

Thanks! Honestly, the updates have been so intermittent - its hard to get your hopes up. The online USCIS case status site never even updated after I responded to the RFIE, but i signed up for an account on the DHS site which said they had received my reply, so it's a bit all over the place! It never changed to ready for interview! I'll update once I get my notice - fingers crossed its in the mail as we speak!

Yeah, I've noticed! I have an account on both government tracking websites, and they're not in line with each other, and one has updates over the other, and vice versa! Pretty confusing, and odd! Also, my EAD application jumped back in time to 'received your case' from 'biometrics review complete' once I got the ready to be scheduled update, which has confused me even further! Please, do let us know what it says! :)

We still have the dreaded technical error on USCIS (3 weeks now), shows a date of case updated but a blank update for I-485.  Talking to Tier 2 didn't do any good they just told us to wait a year and couldn't tell us what the update was.
