That is not a red flag. You have more than enough proof (my opinion) and honestly I dont think the US agent would ask about the relationship between you guys and your parents. You will be fine.

@T_P @sleu876 Thanks for your thoughts. Just wanted to clarify and know if others have had similar situations.

should I apply for a Social security number before or after I apply for AOS? Does it matter at all?

You can apply for  ITIN number for taxes but you wouldn't be able to get a ss number without a work permit or gc.  If u apply for Ead along with your aos you can check the box if u want them to issue social as well

If I may ask, are you adjusting from K1 or something? If yes, then you’re all good to apply for a ssn without an EAD because as a K1 Visa holder, it’s your right. As for the other visa types, I don’t know

There you go but remember you gonna need to remove the condition on your SSN ( only valid  for work with DHS authorization) once you lay hands on your GC. All you need is your I-94, birth certificate, passport and marriage certificate is you already got one

Green card. If you’re yet married, you’re still good to go with your I-94 and passport

The Social Security Card will be in your maiden name.
After getting married you can go back to the SS Office and have it changed to your married name.

Make sure your I-94 is not expired then. Otherwise you have to wait!

When you go back for the name change you need to bring the same documents as for the first card, plus your marriage certificate and also again a print of the I-94.

I printed out the i-94 but the expiration date says or "Admit until date" July 14th 2017. I dont understand why its 2017 and not 2018

I need some help on the EAD file if anyone could spare a moment :) . Question 20. and 21.

I think i have found the correct letter and number that it wants under "Eligibility category" C - 9  (correct me if im wrong)

Also since I answered Q:20, it says list your degree and employers name etc. I dont know what to put there. :(

What does the stamp in your passport say?

Seems like a typo? I'd call CBP to have it corrected, if that's possible.
