Hey guys!

My husband's AOS and EAD applications were received on January 31st. Based on what I've read about most of your timelines, I think he is pretty close to getting his EAD! What do y'all think?

Good luck everyone!

Hey guys, NOA1 January 12 here. Has anyone received their EAD yet? Also, does anyone have experience with a request to expedite the EAD? I tried to expedite it and faxed my job offer (which is now irrelevant, because the company couldn't wait for me), but whenever I call USCIS to ask if they received my fax and if I can get it expedited, they keep repeating the same ol' story "Your case is currently under review." D'uh.

Oh congratz! Just checked your timeline. It says " Your EAD was approved in 64 days. "How's that possible? You filed in March?

Thank you :) I send all the petitions on Feb 20th but my ead was rejected because of outdated Form so I had to re-apply and Thats why my PD for EAD is a little late. But I needed EAD really bad and had a job offer so I called uscis to expedite and that is how my EAD was approved in 64 days :)

Hey Sarah,

I just successfully expedited my EAD. However, it wasn't based on a job offer. I already have a job, since I am adjusting from another status. However, my work authorization was about to expire. That said, several people here have successfully expedited for a job offer. I think you just have to make a convincing argument for financial hardship. For example, I focused on how I would lose my health insurance if I lost my job. If you don't currently have health insurance, you could go that direction.

I didn't have any luck until I enlisted my Senator and Congress woman's help. Before that, I put in an expedite request and waited almost two weeks for the notice with the fax number. They sent it in the mail and wouldn't give me the fax number over the phone. I got impatient and escalated to my senator and congress woman. I would recommend contacting yours once you have another valid job offer. In fact, I would start there. If I could do this again, that is what I would do. They told me that they have a separate system that they use for such requests, so they are not even dealing with the same people. It's a totally different queue....

Let me know if you have other questions. Once my senator/congress women sent in requests, I got the Card is being ordered status in two weeks.

So I had my AOS interview in Atlanta last week and they said I was approved and would receive my GC within 1-2 weeks, but my online status hasn’t moved from ‘An interview was scheduled’ :/.

I guess I’m just worried that there is going to be a problem or it’s going to take even longer than they said. My drivers license expired and I can’t renew it without a gc or ead, and I desperately need to be able to look for work.

Did anyone else’s online status not change after their interview?

I just received a courtesy letter telling me that I will need a completed and signed I-693 for my I-485. I am wondering who else received this letter. And, how long after receiving it was your interview actually scheduled? I am in Seattle, so I am not expecting miracles. I should have an interview in January or February of 2019.
