Oh and it’s been a very very cold winter up here in Chicago so 70 for Monday is a very welcome change! It was snowing when my aunt and uncle came to visit two weeks ago 😵

Yeah, I hear you! My girlfriend lives near Chicago and she's been suffering with the long winter!

I believe the outfit you'd described seems good enough. :)

Well, I finally had my interview today at Columbus field office. The officer walked out and looked at us, he came to say hi to us then said he only needed me into the interview and told my husband to wait outside. Below are the questions of my interview:

- What is my birthday ? Address that I am staying now ?

- Yes no questions in the form I-485

- How did we meet ?

(We did not have much evidences when we filed AOS, only my name on his health insurance and my name on his investment report. We also had very few pictures with his family in US because they live very far to the state)

- Then he said everything looked good but he couldn't give us an approval now. I myself offered him my husband newest tax but the officer said he didn't need it, everything fine.

- I asked the officer if he needed to interview my husband or not so I could go out and let him in but he said no.

- I also asked him about my status online, my case was actually family-based but the status online said Employment-based. He checked for me and he said no problem, I did everything good. Then he walked me out and wished me a great day, I wished the same to him.

My status is now still showing Employment based interview...not change yet. I hope I could get approval soon.

My wife had her interview Friday morning at the Columbus field office. Her experience was almost the same as yours.

When they called our number, the IO seemed a little confused why I was coming back with her. I had thought he told us he would see her first, but he ended up only interviewing her. After the interview, she told me he checked her passport but none of our documentation. He asked some basic questions: some biographical questions about her, when we got married, and all the yes/no security questions from the I-485. When they were done, he gave her a continuance paper indicating that our case was being held for review. It also indicated they had all the information they needed, but they would contact via mail us if they needed more and once they had reached a final decision.

My wife was a bit unsettled by all these. We’d been expecting to both be interviewed, so she had been worried about what this meant. We checked her status after the interview; it also showed that it was an Employment-based interview. Her priority date is January 5, 2018. Hopefully, we hear good news. My wife has met a few people here who also went through this process. None of their experiences are like hers (one was interviewed together with her husband while the other didn’t even have an AoS interview).

I forgot to mention, but my wife also asked the IO whether we would have another interview. He told her not for another year or three years.

Yep her experience was almost the same as mine, and seems it will be ok if he told her not interview again for another year or 3. Hope our status will change after the weekends

A quick question did anybody get to do their bio metrics again during the interview? I had to go through the bio metrics again , is there any chance that will delay the approval of my GC?

Hey guys!

Question: My husband's interview is May 10, HOWEVER, I didn't get this year's taxes filed (I don't owe anything--I'm owed a refund!) because some of my W-2's came back with an incorrect SS# and was hospitalized before my tax appointment :( So this year's taxes aren't filed yet and my husband doesn't have a ITIN or SS number yet. Will I have problems at the interview? I don't think that even if I hurried, I would get them done in time! Also, I have a cosponsor and I am bringing her most recent tax form.

Missing proper naija suya. Admin removed our comments eventually.:mellow:. It was fun though.

The questions asked were as follow:

1. all the questions on Form i-485

2. He asked that we tell him our love story and asked who will do the honors of relaying the story, my husband did and i chipped in some information that he left out.

3. He asked if I had any supporting documents and i handed him the supporting document listed above.

4. He asked my husband where he worked.

That was all

Thanks a bunch :)

I havent had my interview but I believe it is a security measure to verify you are who you say you are, others that had their interview can hopefully tell you more. Did you ask the IO about it?

Also for your picture, I believe there are just telling you to sit tight. Is it from the DHS website? They send every week or 2 weeks inactivity updates, you can take them off by changing the settings if you dont want them.

I don't think it should be a problem. Did you request for an extension. Go with the extension form or acknowledgement. My husband is yet to file his tax for 2017. We went with the extension form. It also depends on the IO. We were not asked for it at all.
