Hi all

Am N400 filler , sent on May , fingerprint on June 28 2017 , till now it still says fingerprint appointment was scheduled on the status update. I sent my application to Dallas office and am a residence in Miami FL.

is this normal 6 months no update ? if yes then how long it would take roughly to update status , if not what shall I do cause calling them is waste of time.

Thanks alot

I do not know if this is true but I read Dallas is about 13 months before you get an interview.  Myself,  I hope not because that is where I submitted my N-400.

Unfortunately there are very few updates in the N400 process. The next one to look for is that you are inline for an interview, but there is no telling when that will happen.

Dallas and South Florida were two of the slower areas back when we applied in Nov. 2016.  We are in Ft Lauderdale and while we were expecting it to take about 6 months it ended up being closer to a year.  Dallas was even slower.

Our inline for an interview notification came very soon after the biometrics (Dec 2016) but then nothing for many months.  The interview finally got scheduled in Oct 2017, so all's well that ends well.

In the end, all you can do is wait. The local offices here in S Florida are very busy but it will likely all happen in the next few months.

Best wishes!

:( , 13 months between applying and interview ? I believe I was ready for this , but I was expecting to have the ( in line with interview ) sooner just to be sure everything is going good.

Thanks
