If you look at the USCIS Non Immigrant Visa Issuance by country: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/nonimmigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-nonimmigrant-visa-issuances.html

Saudi Arabia has given out only 4 K1s throughout 2017. So either they are very difficult to get, with very few being approved, or no one is applying for them. My guess is the first.

When we werent approved for our K1 (Morocco, not SA) I started researching statistics and trends. Morocco also approves very few - about 6-8 per month out of 200+ petitions. I cant imagine that less than 10 people applied for K1 through SA but who knows.

However, statistically, by the numbers, you're probably better doing a CR1 from that country.

I'd actually be more prompted to believe it's the former. The approval rate for most visas from KSA is pretty high. Heck, the tourist visa refusal rate is 5%, far below the vast majority of other countries.

Although we have no way to know which one it is....just that my experience and the experience from others from KSA that I've communicated with, is that they tend to go the spousal route or are foreign workers who exit KSA before completing processing.

My finace is going to apply on 18th jan.

Petition approval is 6 - 9 months..  after that could be another 2 - 5 months for the visa interview

Approval times speed up and slow down all the time...  currently approvals are in the slow down cycle

YMMV

Did you see my post above? Only 4 have been approved in the past year so your chances are slim. Which one of you is the US citizen?

Have you met each other?? You can't apply without this.
