What service center are you at and you need to call uscis to find out the day they shipped it as well as tracking number ..If uscis say they shipped it then call nvc ..Also check online on the uscis website using your receipt number and check if status changed to sent to the department of State..

Hello! My status on the USCIS website is still “my case was approved and may decision was emailed” 🙁

I’m at the Texas service center (SRC)

Do you believe USCIS might be taking more than 60 days to send the petition to the NVC

On Monday, I’ll do what you just said

Thank you very much!

It also would help if you fill out your timeline sweety ..Others depend on that information to get an idea of processing time for each step...

Hi everyone!

My case was approved by USCIS on Nov 29th and I still haven’t heard from NVC

I have a few questions, would you guys please help me out?

1) does USCIS update case status as “case was approved and my decision was mailed to the National Visa Center” (or something like this)?

2) how long does NVC take to inform the NVC case number after the process is received?

3) what information does NVC ask for when you call them to ask for the NVC case number?

I’m so concerned with the delay, any help will be appreciated.

thanks

Yes they update case status after your case has been sent to department of states (NVC)

After 2weeks tell your petitioner to check his/her mail for a welcome letter and how to go about the steps you can check more at nvc.state.gov

They will ask you for your petitioners name your name and case number they gave you in USCIS

What is a pivot case? What does it mean?

A pivot case is a case where you upload all your documents. even the AOS and IV package. Only some countries have that.

So quick & easy to pay the fees this way. Hoping it means a smooth process overall.

DS-260 done! just waiting for rapidvisa to send our documents since we have it all completed.

God I hope Mexico doesn't take longer than 3 months to assign an interview. I will definitely be on top of them. It's insane that we have to wait this long, I understand there's a lot of petitions, but still.

We paid a couple of days ago the AOS $120 fee. It now shows "PAID", but when we go to our checking account, no money was taken out.

Question please:

a) Is this normal?

b) How soon after AOS fee appears "paid" will the "IV" fee be invoices?

a) no idea, my husband told me he saw the money deducted from his account first, and then it changed to paid. I think you should call NVC just to be sure :) or see if the checking account changes

b) it took us around a week and a half, because we were waiting for the DS-261 to be processed. I sent an inquiry email and two days later they accepted our choice of agent and the IV was invoiced. It took 2-3 days for it to change to ''paid'' and I did the DS-260 today instead of waiting a week.

That happened to me. I had paid the aos and iv fee. On the site it said paid but it wasn't withdrawn so I called and nvc said it never went through. It was a glitch. So I made sure with my bank and sure enough it never went through so I did it over and paid it

I can't figure out which I864 to fill out. The 864 or 864ez. I meet the poverty limit requirements. When I submitted the i130 I submitted the 864 only. Other thing to point out is I live in CZ and work there so as of now plan may be to move without work in case I can't find something with my company stateside and start the job search there and live on savings.

From the USCIS website concerning I864EZ:

You may use Form I-864EZ if ALL the following conditions apply:
1. You are the person who filed or is filing Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, for a relative being sponsored;
2. The relative you are sponsoring is the only person listed on Form I-130; and
3. The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Internal
Revenue Service (IRS) Form W-2s provided by your employers or former employers

You have to meet the three condition...I did and I filed the I864EZ and did not have any issues.
