Oh, I came the last few months to wait it out with my husband in Egypt. It's the 27th here. But yeah US would be 26 hehe sorry

Also, I was paranoid because I had left some blanks that didn't apply to me on my i864 . For example, the interpreter part. Lots of people kept saying I should have put n/a or I'd get checklisted but it's all good.

In case anyone here was wondering the same.

I'm wondering the same...

I sent blank pages that didn't relate to me in the forms, got a CC after almost 8 weeks. They didn't checklist us for it, but they did ask us to bring W2 forms at interview, even though we already attached them in the docs.

I Know the feeling. So I guess you have a pivot case too. Can it be that it taking longer to get case number for pivot cases?!?? What are they telling you? They send my case to a supervisor to review why we don't have a case number yet, but they are saying it might take up to 6 weeks to get it from the supervisor.

Not sure what a pivot case is! But I am going through CEAC (if that's the same :))

Our case number was assigned on Friday, finally. It took 48 hrs after review to get it so that was pretty good. Paid the IV and AOS fees and waiting for the forms to be available to fill out! How bout you?

Looking ahead to the IV application form and have a question:

My wife is the petitioner, and we are also bringing our child who is a USC. Can anyone confirm that on her application we say that that me and our child are NOT immigrating with her (because we are already citizens)? Seems weird to say 'not coming with me.'

Hi everyone!

My case was approved by USCIS on Nov 29th and I still haven’t heard from NVC

I have a few questions, would you guys please help me out?

1) does USCIS update case status as “case was approved and my decision was mailed to the National Visa Center” (or something like this)?

2) how long does NVC take to inform the NVC case number after the process is received?

3) what information does NVC ask for when you call them to ask for the NVC case number?

I’m so concerned with the delay, any help will be appreciated.

thanks

What is a pivot case? What does it mean?

Hi! How did you get to know that your case is at the DOS? ‘Cause right now I have no idea weather this is still at the USCIS or at NVC. I’m getting so confused

What service center are you at and you need to call uscis to find out the day they shipped it as well as tracking number ..If uscis say they shipped it then call nvc ..Also check online on the uscis website using your receipt number and check if status changed to sent to the department of State..
