I got my welcome letter and case number and invoice number on 12/21 and i fill out DS-261 (Choice of agent) and AOS fee on 12/22.  It took 3 business days to AOS fee change to paid and then on 12/29 IV fee open up and i paid on 12/29.

It took 3 business days to change to paid and on 1/3 DS-260 (visa application) open up and able to fill out. and i sent out my AOS and IV package on 1/3 and called on 1/10 to find out they scan on 1/9 and he check if my DS-260 complete and he confirmed all good and i have CC on 1/13

NVC is the department of state. And yes they will at some point notify you. they will send you a welcome letter. I would suggest to call tho and you can get the Case Number and Invoice Number on the phone.

Thanks .  Am not sure if they have our case number yet, cos our case was approved 9th, but we got the notification that it was sent to department of state on 22nd.

Hello guys... I wanna ask a question, would be glad to get some help. Thanks in advance.... so got approved with the uscis in Nov... nvc got our case in early December. And we about sending our package tomorrow.. we have the tax script for 2014 2015 2016 as well as the w2 for the respective years... we don't have all of 2017's w2 and its too early to file for 2017 tax. We also dont have all of 2017's w2.. Will nvc request for 2017's w2? Thanks much

No need to submit anything from 2017. It's to early to have tax returns and w2s ready and NVC knows this. If they want to see 2017 stuff they might ask you to bring to interview but it's very unlikely.

I just spoke with NVC representative to find out about my case update. My CC today 01/26/18 and SD was 12/08/17. Status is change to NVC and AOS line is disappeared. Wait for interview  date and it will be held in Mumbai.

I'm using rapid visa to file my petition and I just sent them my AOS and IV packet to look over before sending to NVC. They sent me a message saying that even though I currently make double the income required to sponsor someone, that because my last 3 tax returns show that I made under the requirement (I was still a student at the time) that I will need a joint sponsor. I was always under the impression that what you currently make has to meet the required income, not what you made the last 3 years.

 

Has anyone sent a petition without a joint sponsor that their tax returns shows below the poverty guideline?

Lol, yeah. I didn't send last two pages in I 864EZ since its about attorney or interpreter and we didn't use any. But they said to send it even if its blank... stupid.

You don't need a joint sponsor. I sent ONLY  2016 taxes and there was no problem.

At the interview, you can give the beneficiary other years in case they request it, but wht matters is last year and ur current wages.

No need to send 3 years of tax returns. Only last year's return is required, but if you send them all 3 years and your income is below then there is a good chance they might ask for co-sponsor. Rapid-visa will likely say 3 years to be on safe side since they have money back guarantee if visa is not approved but no need.

Wow.. since dec 8, I thought it’s remaining only late dec scan dates . Nvc seems to be slow with December
