It’s so painful when it’s something so small! We sent in the police clearance from the actual police and not passport office and that’s what the checklist was for. Glad the wait is over for you!!!

It is frustrating. We got an expedite from the embassy but not the NVC. Now I have to figure out how to make the appointment. etc

After 7 weeks of waiting my case was finally sent to NVC yesterday.

I was approved on Dec 1st.

My husband called uscis yesterday and they said it was sent to NVC ON Dec 4th, but shortly after we got the website and app notification that the case was sent to DOS on 22 jan.

So i guess they forgot about my file and dumped it somewhere until yesterday.

Now i have to wait about 2 more weeks for nvc to receive it and assign a case number.

7 weeks just wasted!!

For those in this same situation, please continue to call and hound uscis because chances are your files are just sitting somewhere forgotten or until whenever they get around to sending it.

They are forgetting that families are separated and its in their hands to get families together sooner.

It is well.

Looks like I'll get my case number this week. Can I (presumably) already gather my IV/AOS info and send it *before* actually having the IV freed up to be paid in the system? Trying to think of ways to cut down on time...

Getting all your documents ready is a good idea but I wouldn't send it in until you get your case number as that's necessary for NVC to recognize and associate with your file.

Ah yeah definitely! Sorry, I wasn't very clear.

I mean once I have my case number but before the IV invoice has been released for me to pay, I could send in my IV/AOS package right?

You’re welcome

Good day, I called NVC twice today ..  1st lady asked me date I submitted my DS260, I told her .. then she said all is fine and it’s going in order by my scan date and it’ll take about 11 weeks to be reviewed from that date..

( I called again to be sure all is really fine with my Ds260)

2nd lady.. I asked her if my DS260 is showing on their system, she told me No, but it doesn’t mean they don’t have it and since i got a Confirmation for it then everything is fine ..It will be reviewed, it takes 11weeks to review the mail and I should wait patiently .

Thats it..

They told me that too that I was still within the time frame of 11 weeks. I even asked why people with scan dates ahead of mine were getting case completes but she just said she understood but that it takes up to 11 weeks. It’s frustrating for sure. Just hang in there.

Sorry misunderstood your question before.

In this case, yes, you can send it in to expedite the process.
