Thanks. And how long does it take to have the first invoice available for payment after you completed DS261?

I paid the AOS fee and fill out DS261 the same day I got the email with my case /invoice number. It took about 5 business days for the payment to process and IV fee open up exactly a week from the date I fill out the DS261.

No luck yet.. apparently after nvc sends file to embassy they review it again then allow you to get an interview date, would've been easier to just nothave an expedite at this point...

Husban is going to call them today because yesterday our case got updated again, nothing changed on the update(still says ready.. prep for interview) except the date..

Congrats to you!!! The finish line is so close for you!!! Best of luck :)

Yeah I'm not seeing the perks of having an expedite, but at least it didn't make it slower I guess!

Thank you! I know the end is in sight but we're a little bit preoccupied with trying to figure out how to deal with the husband visa situation here (I don't fly well - think panic attacks - so would prefer not to fly alone!)

Please let me understand you well was it the certified true copy you sent to NVC before you got the check list, because i have divorced decree which I planned sending to them is it the new system or they just requested for it?

So I had sent the actual decree, like who got the children etc. they wanted just a certified state sealed saying he was divorced.

For a divorce decree not being a certified government copy but the one the judge signed.

It’s so painful when it’s something so small! We sent in the police clearance from the actual police and not passport office and that’s what the checklist was for. Glad the wait is over for you!!!
