Hopefully my interview is the week of February 5th ... thats my 1st anniversary and i will give my wife a surprise visit to Pakistan + attend the interview

Awe that will be an awesome surprise!

 

Our first anniversary just passed and our first child is due end of this month.. hoping the husband makes it by then (since embassy agreed to give a quick interview) or is here by Feb at least. 

I just hope having to attend the interview alone won't affect us.

I paid both AOS and iv fee and was successful before proceeding to the DS 260 form which i also completed. Login back on the website after some days i say my iv fee went back to Pay Now. Has anyone experienced this before and what should i do about it?

1st  SD Oct 24  for 3 cases

2 got approved Dec 5

1 got a check list Dec 8

 

2nd SD Dec 20

Hey! Does it usually take 6 weeks again after a checklist or is it much sooner? 

 

We received our checklist on the 30th and sent in our documents right away. Waiting on the second scan date

When you get a checklist and you submit the documents they request and they’re scanned... that’s your second scan date

Once you have invoice and case number you can pay the first fee, instead of waiting to choose an agent you can call NVC and pick an agent the day the first fee goes through, then ask for the next invoice of fee, that usually takes about a week to come.

 

In the mean time you should round up all your documents like IRS papers etc and have your package along with AOS application ready to send off. 

I got delayed by a month because I didn't have my papers from IRS. 

 

Why did you need your  papers from IRS when you can order transcripts online and print out right away ?

 

When do you send the packets ? as soon as you pay the IV fee ?

Also did you send both packets in 1 big packet ?

yes you are right you can print them right away ... thats what i did

The IRS website is down and wouldn't let me print out any transcripts so I had to ask for them to be maiked, which took a full 2 weeks.

 

I sent one packet once ds was completed and fee was paid.

It might be working again but at that time it wasn't allowing us to print online and we had to order them, just a heads up and that was in early Nov for us.

Are you currently living abroad? I also had issues with printing it online and had to call to get it mailed. It was supposedly mailed last week (was told on the call that it was going to be mailed the same day). I am currently living in CZ and the mail here can be quite slow some times so hoping for the best. Next I have to get the police certificate for my wife from UK. I hope I have everything before NVC gets the package.

Hello all, how long after you found out your I-130 is Nebraska was complete did they actually update the site or even send you an email or letter? I found out on the 26th from a Tier 2 supervisor that it was approved that morning. I will try and call them today to see if it was mailed and to what address because I was told by the Tier 2 supervisor that they don't mail the letters abroad which is weird as I got the NOA1 to my address in CZ. So I submitted a change of address to the US that same date

They don't send emails for NOA2, they send mails. I had to call them to update their site after I got my NOA2 in the mail. Sometimes, they just forget about that and fortunately I used the opportunity to push them to send my documents to NVC. Later that night, I checked their site and it was updated to "Sent to NVC"
