NVC Filers - January 2018

New to this forum...but not new to VJ. 

I'm wondering if anyone has come across an issue w/ NVC? We are using an attorney, and they told me not to call NVC because they were going to do that for us. Our NOA2 was dated 12/08/2017. My patience ran out yesterday and I called NVC only to find out that they don't have any record of our case. I immediately contacted our attorney and they have now sent an email to nvcresearch@state.gov. 

My concern now is if my case is...lost...(God forbid that!). Has anyone had this issue? What should we expect? I'm a wreck here. Our case took FOREVER to get approved and now NVC doesn't have it.

My documents were received by the NVC yesterday. How long should I wait to contact NVC to confirm?

I think you should call on Monday, by then you might have a scan date

Yes they are, don't worry! The shutdown really shouldn't affect us in terms of visa processing

Yes they are, but if the shutdown continues for a long period of time it will end up affecting visa processing. God willing they can come to an agreement soon.

Well I hope our interview is in March because I requested a 6 month visa to visit Pakistan so I can be there with my husband but they only issued me a 3 month visa so it expires a couple weeks into April 😟

You can call any day but they will tell you that you have to wait 2weeks to get a case number

That's strange do you have a confirmation number that it was sent...also my case was approved on the first and they have received mine on the 17 so idk what's going on
