I just called USCIS and they said that I have to wait at least 90 days and then I can do something about it...

This is driving me crazy

My case was approved at TSC on November 15th...they didn't mail it out until December 26th & it got to NVC on January 8th. I'm hoping by next week they'll have my case number. They told me the same "90 day thing" but it probably won't take that long. I don't know why Texas is taking so long sending cases to NVC.

4-24-17 I-130 sent to Chicago Lock Box

Did you speak to tier 2 officer? Request to speak with tier 2, only they can give you some meaningful information.

Like I said before I think your stats should change online before the end of the month.

No, they wouldn't transfer me to tier 2 officer today due to a high number of calls. I'm going to try calling tomorrow morning.

And I hope you're right!

Did your case status update online or did you only just receive a letter of approval in the mail?

Good day everyone! Going a bit off topic here. My wife recently quit her job with the Philippine government since she's migration to the US. Does anybody know if there are other documents/clearances that she might need to present to Immigration upon departure from the Philippines (being that of a former government employee) aside from the ones shown below? Your experiences/thoughts are highly appreciated. Thank you!

It updated online 2 days after approval to "case was approved"...then on 12/26 it changed to "case sent to department of state". But my receipt number never even worked until I was approved, always came up as invalid...then magically worked when I was approved. I don't think they keep up with the online tracking very well. If you got the letter, then at least you know you're approved. It's just a waiting game now. I was told by USCIS to call NVC to see if they received it...they can't tell from their end.

Hi,

My case was approved from USCIS on Dec 16. I keep calling NVC to ask if they have received my case yet... they keep saying give it 6 weeks.
Does it usually really take 6 weeks? Or more? And whats after that?

Hang in there friend, as many former TSC applicants have explained, we all had to wait a whole month after TSC sent the package. From that point, is that it may take up to 6 weeks to assign a Case Number.

The good news are that neither TSC or NVC go by their maximum wait times, neither the 90-days to send the package nor the 6-weeks to receive it (not that it could take 6-weeks to physically receive it, but to assign the CN and IIN).

Best you can do rn is to ask people  from TSC with your same NOA2 date if their cases were sent already. Back when mine was issued, TSC was taking 30 days to send it, then it arrived after 3 business days, finally NVC took 2 business days to assign the CN and IIN. You could use the info to stimate how long until you get your CN and IIN.

Feel free to check my signature for reference.
